Just finished making these. So simple, few ingredients, no bake, only natural sugar from the dates, gluten free and healthy. And delicious too! The recipe made 18 large balls. I made them exactly as the recipe stated except used cow's milk. I love how they are not too sweet. Thank you for sharing this great recipe!

Hey, I just watched your video about sprint 8 and saw you mention no sugars should be eaten before and after because it will kill Hgh and testosterone. I heard in this video you sat you eat these date balls all the time. Could you break down your thought on fruits and when are the best times to eat them? I do daily fasting so i usually have fruits right after my workout and then have a cooked meal in the evening. Thanks for all of your shared wisdom and experiences :)
@Theartofunity7 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim, I figured that would come up, thanks for asking. I never eat them after my workout at most an hour before or if I'm really hungry 20 minutes, but my body is ectomorphic and I need to eat a lot to not burn muscle. You can see my blog on the body types for more on that. Same with fruit, never after sometimes before. Lots of diet info for the different body types on that blog. go to theartofunity.com and put body types into the search bar.

no soaking of the almonds to remove Phytic acid?

You could do that and even then dehydrate them and it will be healthier, but it's not necessary for this recipe.

I was thinking of using them wet after an overnight soak. What's the shelf life of these energy balls when stored in fridge? Also no protein powder?

Try it both ways and see which you like. I have left them for 3 weeks in the fridge. All of the ingredients will individually last for weeks without refrigeration. And feel free to put in protein powder I do that sometimes as well.
