Only 2 suggestions for toppings, cool whip with a splash of lemon juice m0ixed in then top off pie OR use a can of blueberry pie filling & top off individual slice of pie with a large spoonful of the filling. Loved this! Two of my favourite things, cheesecake and lemon. I'm going to be making this for sure. I make a no bake cherry cheese cake. It turns out best if you use marscapone cheese with the condensed milk, you can also add double/whipping/heavy cream to make it richer and for special occasions omit the lemon juice and add melted chocolate - white or milk - instead. And you can also simply put the cheese mix in a loaf tin and freeze it for a delicious soft ice=cream that is lovely with fresh fruit or an apple /mincemeat tart, or even on Xmas puddings. Been making this for over half a century, another version ideal for children is to add a cool but not set jelly/jello and pour it over the top then put back in the fridge to set. Great for parties where there will be kids and you can add fresh fruit to the jelly/jello topping if desired. Mum would add strawberry jelly with fresh strawberries from the garden for a special Sunday pudding in summer. Lovely.

Hi VICKI .... 2 THINGS , THIS " BORDEN , EAGLE BRAND " RECIPE Started out life as " CHEERY CHERRY CHEESE PIE " You can Search that heading right here in KZbin & that video will come & explains a LOT ...YOU see , this is NOT a CheeseCAKE Recipe but is a pie Recipe & not meant to set up FIRM like an actual CheeseCAKE at all ...You see , it was meant to be topped after chilling in fridge for couple hours to set up then be topped with Canned Cherry Pie Filling , then Re - Chilled & then served during which the pie will sort of slump & the Cherry filling will cascade down over the sides & make a thumbnail picture too beautiful to eat . YUMM , LOL..😋 Reason I even know this is when this recipe was first introduced in early 80s my then girlfriend made if for me when she heard I sorta liked cheesecake but thought it was too dry & too rich with a sort of tangy backbite in the back of your throat & the cherries on to were the best thing about it .... Sooooooo , long story short she made this for me one evening & actually had to talk me ( coerce 😘🥰👅💋😍😋 ) into trying a piece ...And YESSS , it was the BEST Pie I'd ever eaten ...So much so I ate the whole pie that night , ( it took all night to eat that much pie, but I believe that was her diabolical plan to start with .To stay ALL Night which did start a New habit of taking her out to dinner/ drinks & dancing & then her place for Cheery Cherry Cheese Pie & Staying the Night , She was the smartest most diabolical girl I ever knew , find what a man really loves & exploit it , LOL...👌👍🤣..... BUT since you stayed this long through my real life story , her name was Melanie ( & a Red Haired FIRE RED BEAUTY she was & still is today , biggest mistake I've EVER MADE in my life letting her get away ....) The 2nd thing about this dessert that Cathy was not aware of actually couple things are : 1.) YESSS , you can stiffen the pie filling up almost like actual cheesecake if you want to without changing the flavor any .... Simply take 2 packets of JELLO Non Flavored Gelatin & mix in a small amount of hot water with mixer til Well mixed & don't use the full amount of water to help with the setting up of the pie mix after you mix it into it , then just refrigerate & top ...2.) You can also use Pineapple topping or Blueberry topping instead , or even do like MELANIE Started doing , She would top it with Half Cherry & Half Pineapple filling & Believe Me you can NOT beat that for a killer combination ...My Most Favorite Dessert of All Time ....I Could Literally eat this one dessert for the rest of my life ...🍒🍒🍒🍒🍍🍍🍍🍍ENJOY.😊
