Just sharing from my experience of fishing, i think your fish keep dropping due to your loose drag so most of the time the hook didnt set properly

Y'know those cheap buzzbait-inspired propeller topwaters meant for toman? My dad doesn't even fish (he was just bored and gave it a try) and caught a queenfish on his 2nd cast. Don't judge me, I only had freshwater lures. Fun fact, my uncle happened to be one of the first people who brought spinnerbait-style lures to S.E.A. before I was even born, (the toman back then never knew wtf hit them) so he might've been one of the reasons the buzz-propeller clone lures were invented. You might wanna experiment just for fun.
