No BS Typing Sounds Test: Idobao ID80 Crystal (Holy Pandas)

The Idobao ID80 Crystal is a transparent Acrylic, gasket mount Keyboard that comes with the option of a Brass or Polycarbonate plate. The typing experience is somewhat stiff, but has enough forgiveness in it with the polycarbonate plate that it's still forgiving at bottom out. The keyboard comes with plate foam, but we added some KBDFans PE Foam Modules to help out with the acoustics a little bit. There is RGB Underglow, but it's not super intrusive: I can't turn mine up past 70% without one of the LED's flickering on me.
The Drop x Invyr Holy Pandas had the stems replaced with Halo Clear stems, because reasons; there is no difference between the Clear and True stem other than color. The 67g spring is a touch heavier than I would prefer, and would recommend swapping to a 63.5-65g spring if you want a more comfortable typing experience with these switches.
The Drop Artifact Bloom BoW keycaps are a really nice budget Cherry profile cap set, providing compatibility with most mainstream keyboard layouts, though it does lack proper split spacebars for Alice/Arisu/40's. Combined with these switches and keyboard, they make for a really well-balanced total package that's hard to beat for the price!

Not sure I was a fan of that space bar, it sounded a lot like metal on metal hitting? Two metal rods tapping? Was it the recording? How do you think it sounds IRL? Love the ID80 Crystal, such a good looking board.

You're right about the spacebar not sounding quite right; the board comes stock with Cherry-style clip-in PCB stabs, and I replaced the wires in some of them, but they're still not quite right in general. Could be something up with the stab stems. Also long-pole stems in the switches, that's gonna make the spacebar more sharp. The board in person is VERY plastic-y with the PC plate and foam. Removing the foam could help a bit. Given the lack of space under the PCB, and therefore flex, I'd only recommend the Polycarb plate if you're looking to shave cost or just like the sound of PC, or if you want bottom-out to be ever so slightly more soft.. Otherwise the Brass plate will suit you better.
