Reminds me a bit of modern sicilian knife fighting, just less frilly with the footwork. Very interesting and impresses my need to study Marozzo. Cheers!

Knife fighting is still common in modern Sicily?
@stuffguru4 жыл бұрын
@@bretalvarez3097 not common, but it has experienced a resurgence in learning and preservation in recent years along with the two-handed stick forms there which i have gotten into. Cool stuff.

I saw you do an Insider video on Sword Fights in the movies. I wish you had don some of the older movies like Scaramouch, RThe Adventures of Robin Hood, Captain Blood and Cyrano de Bergerac where the actors actually knew how to fence. That would have been much more interesting, though it was nice to see Princess Bride even if the caliber of swordsmanship isn't as good.

Interesting. I have hit upon something pretty similar to the first technique on my own. I guess it's even more intuitive than I realized. Though having the knife held further out with the blade pointed inward is new to me, yet makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the video.

Bologne in XV century: this Bologne a century before: grab the opponent and shank until he stops moving And people say modern combat reality evolves fast :v

What model dagger is that? The handle seems long. Love the play.

Any indications as to why the finger over the quillon? It seems ok with a dagger but I'd still like your opinion on it.

LeLionNoir I am trying it as it appears it “may” be illustrated. I am not sure I like it or not.
