I really enjoyed your whirlwind tour of L.A.! I’ve been there many times, for work. I’ve driven a tractor-trailer all over that town. I really like your video production, and the humor you bring to the adventure. Happy Trails

I’m glad you experienced LA .. watching brought back memories…. My mother’s first job was at the Chinese theater? And my father sold newspapers on Hollywood and vine. I played in Griffith park, and drove the streets of Hollywood in a VW bus.. fortunately I was able to see the last of the good days there.. I left in 94? Went back 2 years ago to take him back to forest lawn to be with his mother??? How it’s changed. Thanks again.

@@ladyandthescamp absolutely… I think everyone should see it … but ? Like all tourist attractions? It’s slowing getting ruined and crime ridden. So sad.. good bless you and your family..

It’s Laura, I have a new handle. Less inconspicuous 😉 I watched Adele’s concert (on tv) at the Observatory, it looks amazing! Your tours looked fun, and I love the slo-mo jumping, lol. Off to the ocean! 👏😎

My son and his family were missionaries in CA for seven years (Watts, Oakland, and a camp in the Angeles National Forest); they moved back to TX in 2020 when the camp closed due to the pandemic- yay (moving, not the pandemic)!! I visited CA 3-4 times a year and loved every minute of it! Thank you for reminding me of all those fun times:) I'll be sad when your trip ends; can't wait for the next video:)

I highly recommend California. You can be in dessert, ocean, or mountains all in the same day.

Glad you did some hikes.I think that there is a very thin line between urban and wilderness in Los Angeles that is overlooked. For your next trip recommended reading Reyner Banham's Llos Angeles, the Architecture of Four Ecologies. Although it's 50 years old, it offers a perspective or context at a point in time. I think vestiges are still visible.

I will do that! Thanks for the recommendation!

PS How could I have forgotten to recommend The Felix Figueroa Orchestra's performance of Pico and Sepulveda? It's definitely a classic - in my mind tied with Randy Newman's I Love LA.

I found In N Out fries kind of terrible, until I asked for them to be cooked well done, what a huge difference. Tommy’s chili burgers are good too. Dinah’s chicken in Glendale is awesome and Mr K’s pizza in Burbank is the best I have ever had.

We've only been to in and out once after they put one in our area a few years ago. Love the burgers, but totally agree with you on the fries. Not a fan of the fries.
