Happy day 12 Marion 🤗 I was quite taken back that there could be even more delicious ice cream add in ideas. A Christmas flavour, what fun 🍧🍨🧁🍫🍡🍓🫐🥥 hehe, since I made my blackberries into a coulis and swirled it in. I think strawberries in summer is another one I will try. I have all the stuff in for making mums lemon curd one, I'm going to make the chocolate one too, yumeee 😋 not only will I need a bigger house but a larger freezer too haha 😂 see you tomorrow 🌲☃️🤍 don't go eating all the ice cream before Naomi and her partner arrive 🤭😉

Have you ever tried liquorice ice cream Kim? If you like liquorice toffee... it's a fab one to try. Melt a bag of toffees and mix in to the base. Then swirl some blackberry or blackcurrant couli through it. It will be fantastic!

@marionsworld24 oh yes I remember you saying the liquorice before, I do, 😋 I will try that too,, it is a treasured recipe now in my collection of handwritten recipes book, thank you so much Marion. 🤗🤍 I hope you have a few more up your sleeve for us. Maybe the brownie recipe that Naomi made with you last time she was visiting, just a thought 😋🤗🤍🌲 I have a simple cheese straw recipe that I always use from a child's cookbook, and I mentioned it to a friend. Now, she makes it at Christmas, too. It is lovely to share favourites and ones passed down so they are never lost or forgotten. 🌟

Thanks for delicious recipes! 😋 Tomorrow is Lucia day and here in Sweden we have an old tradition to celebrate that day. The day is celebrated in schools, kindergartens, churches, elderly homes and private homes. I love this tradition. "Lucia" is a young girl, she wears a crown of candles at the front of a procession in which everyone wears white and carries a candle. Lucia whith the candles and the white dress is the image of Christianity. This day is a warming event. We need the light in dark December and the songs are so beautiful! I will go up six a clock early in the morning, set a tray with Coffee and special Lucia buns and gingerbread cookies. The tray is garnished with lingonberry rice and a candle. When this is done I put the TV on and look and listening at the Lucia ceremony. It is a wonderful moment!😍 See you tomorrow.❤🌿🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🌿❤

I know this ice cream will taste delicious, because you made another flavour in the summer. And that was a good recipe and very easy to make. I made that one, and because it was a lot of ice for me alone, I made a kind of mousse with the other half. Simply did some gelatine in the mix and put it somewhere cool. Not the freezer. I think it is possible with this recipe too. Thank you for this recipe Marion.

lovely ICE CREAM; when I make it at home; I use 12 yokes, 2 tsp of vanilla and a 8 ounce brick of softened cream cheese. It makes a beautiful rich, smooth ice cream base and you can then add any other kind of flavoring to it, such as banana, orange, cherry, or strawberry, or chocolate. Thank you for inspiring me to make some of yours.

This type of recipe is so unfussy. I practice different flavours almost every time I make it. I hadn't added cinnamon to the Christmas one before so I think I was too conservative with it. Up the cinnamon to 1 flat teaspoon I think...that's for half of the base mixture.

Sounds good Jane. I often serve it with hot apple or sweetmince pies instead of custard. I change it every year. This is the first time I've put the cinnamon in, which is why I was a bit cautious. It definitely needed more. I'd up it to a flat teaspoon amount. Also remember I did that on half of the base mixture. So double if you're doing the whole amount. Good luck with it!
