It’s been nearly 10 months and your so rite it takes time to get to acceptance, sometimes I think I’m there then boom 💥 the sadness. I’ve got over relationships b4 and moved on but I think because this was a really good relationship that lasted 12 years and I was blind sided I’m struggling but also keeping myself busy 🙂

Just wondering how dumpers can forget all history and memories they had with their dumpees. I am just shocked how people can do that! even they meet someone new, they will need years and years to build nice memories again. Can't believe how people can give up on all history they had for unknown future! Very sad.

Chevy yes u r correct there r some people they easily giveup and get into a rebound quickly but remember rebounds r not healthy and is a bad idea rather jumping on to a new relationship they should fix the relationship they r already in

Well, it is very possible my ex is with someone new expecting the grass is greener, but it won't be. I am sure she will remember me. I was a good boyfriend, and , if not, I am a lovable guy and can get someone else. Sure, I wouldn't mind the ex back if she comes with a nice attitude about making things work.

lol, oh its terrible, i never forget the memories, we never fought, disagreed or anything like that. when he left we disagreed to keep my gifts and i said, i would just t hrow them away. when i look at his life and see the woman he married and had kids with, i cant get over their life, perfect. im sure there are sad days for each of them, he wouldve never did that great with me. althoough i think im better looking but poor. my life has moved on for the better but it hurts what happened decades later. we dated a very dreamful way. lol. im fine though.

My advice after 4 months NC from my ex. Work on you...work on you...work on you..therapy..gym..eat better... hang out with friends/family and each day becomes easier and a blessing. I really dont care what shes doing or does now.. good luck all

When I broke up with my ex and I wasn’t in contact with her it hit me with regret right at the 6 month mark and it got progressively worst until I did something about it

@@vincentbos I didn’t know there was such things as no contact and stages people go through Before my recent break up I was a dumper and I ended up regretting my decision while with someone else even though it might have been seen as a rebound it wasn’t that for me I really loved the person I was with it was very conflicting but I felt guilt for breaking up with my partner before to be with her the reason I felt guilt was because I told her I’m breaking up with you and blocked her it didn’t sit right with me and it bothered me a lot not being on good terms Now I’ve been recently dumped on Christmas Eve with my current ex of 3 years because of so many opinions of our mutual friends who influenced the break up and hated me for trying to get closure with my past ex I cut them off and one of the friends liked my ex and confessed to her and I didn’t like that so I told her to cut him off and she didn’t it was like double standards cause me talking to my ex or resolving my guilt bothered her so I resolved things and ended up cutting her off properly for her and I understand her being upset but when I’m bothered about something she does she didn’t care it was too much I’ve never been dumped it hurt like hell I went though denial, grief, anger I lost so much weight from not eating I had a panic attack I felt sick for 2 days and now I feel like I’m at the acceptance stage and I know after that is pure recovery it really sucked but my current ex wanted to stay friends but I declined and she got so defensive over it I ended up putting myself first and walked away even though I wasn’t right I wanted to changed for her and I’m not saying what I did was right but I cared about her feelings at the end of the day my current ex is who I wanted to be with for a very long long time but now it seems like I was the only one who wanted that

What if it was a short (6-7 month) relationship that progressed very quickly? We were only a month or so from moving in together. Had professed our love from the 2-3 month mark. It moved fast but imploded fast too. I had insecure and anxious behaviours, she had some manipulative and distant behaviours. Lies about her past and some behaviours. I would get annoyed and we would argue, she would call me controlling, but I was the “best she had ever had and her person.” Now, she says it was all fake and had seemingly moved on in a month dating etc.

Hello Vincent, It’s been a year and 2 months and I am over my ex. I have recently been talking to a new girl for about a month only over text messages and Snapchat. She doesn’t start conversations very often but has shown interest in me and has said she would hangout with me but we have not yet. Whenever I start conversations, it’s fun and we flow well together. I even make jokes about not wanting to be a platonic friend without coming off as too needy. Do you have any tips in what I should do next or how I should approach the situation?
