Damn you got a great fuzz collection I envy very much I've become a circuit collector myself I don't care so much about having the vintage units but at least a good clone of about every unique circuit out there

thank you! And yeah definitely collect whatever gets you going! The newer stuff is for sure easier to use and won't fall apart quite as easily as the vintage stuff. :)

I scored a very nice Jax fuz like that one for 20 bucks at a Savers. It sounds KILLER.

Awesome! My first FY-2 was a Jax version. Some of them even have completely different transistors than most of the other silicon units you typically see. Nice score!

@tonemachines There were more but I only got it and one branded "Taurus" I think. I traded it to a buddy. I wish I was thinking clearly that day.lol

The circuit in your FY-1 is a PNP transistor circuit, FY-2 is a NPN Transistor circuit.

@@shirk2001 oh interesting! And just to clarify, do you mean the Yack Fuzz YF-1, and Yack Fuzz YF-2, or the YF-1 and the FY-2?

You see them under many different brands - Companion, Jax, Shin-Ei, Kimbara, Avora, Tele-Star, Zenta etc. In stock form they are ok, but quiet, but they can be modded very easily to sound amazing and much louder!
