"No Disc" DVD Player Fault - How to Fix *Easily*

Last week my Samsung BD-4500 BluRay player got won’t play one of my Spongebob DVDs, I unplugged for a minute and plug back which usually works and nothing until I saw your video. So the other day I remove the top, open the tray by eject and unplugging it so I can try to clean the lens (I used 99% isopropyl alcohol), once I the tray back in and the top screwed back in, I tested and it works fine. So it was the lens that was dirty. Thanx for the tip.

Hey there, thank you for the video. I've got a player with an open/close lid, anybody have suggestions? My first thought was some strategically placed office cleaner condensed air, but i know that stuff's pretty chilly when it comes out, so i wonder about damage. I'm not opening the thing up because the only thing i know about electronics is that 'it'll be fine" probably won't be.

This player that he is repairing was my very first player I bought from currys and the damned thing kept freezing and pausing all by itself.

***IF*** you know what you are doing you can open it up and have a look inside. Check the circuit board for burns, check the capacitors have flat tops ie they havent blown. (With it disconnected from the wall socket. Obviously.)

Use a disc cleaner so you dont electrocute yourself or damage anything. Cheap

this thing never was broken boy ,you just play games
