I’m not gonna lie to you Matt, I’m a guy that got into fishing later in life Didn’t really start till I was 27 and I’m 31 now fishing has changed my life for the better in so many different ways and I still love it, but there was a time when I had serious aspirations to compete in tournament and sadly, even at the local level these small time tournament guys have their boats decked out every day. It just seems to get worse and worse. no matter how much progress I make. I’ll never be able to afford everything Necessary to entertain the idea of competing. Just puts me down. Tactical bassin is always a brute spot, thank you for all you guys do 💪🏼🎣

I've never used any kind of fancy equipment. I got a little garmin stryker on the kayak that I use and I use it more for water temp and depth than anything. I sit behind at a desk and look at a computer screen all day, so I guess I just prefer not to have to look at a another screen while I go fishing on the weekend. Great video as always.

How ya gonna use the DC reel on an oldschool day brother? 🤷🏻♂️😃 Lol I’m just playing this is really refreshing to see, that’s the only way I fish son! 😎🤙🏽 The absolute best feeling in the world to me is getting smashed out of nowhere and not knowing it’s coming, it’s just so much more rewarding and you can take pride in knowing you went out there and got em using nothing but your brain to do it. That’s fishing man. Good stuff. We need more of this. 🎣👊🏽😊

I don’t know how old you and Tim are but. When I was growing up. Biggest thing going. The big talk was the inception of the Texas rig bates. And that Saul called saw plastic rubber was almost as hard as a hockey puck.😆😆😆 The famous Bill Dance in his Bass Tracker boat old black n white footage was showing how it was done. Went to go set the hook ((. Because all you had was a light wire straight shank hook )) pulled back Soo !!!! His chair broke and he rolled back into the water. Was all pissed off 😡😆😆😆. I’m almost 60 years old. And this bass world 🌎 how far it’s come. Crazy !!! These baits are so good. That. That’s all you need to do. And have fun. 🤩

Always love the old school way of bassin! I’m primarily a bank and kayak angler, obviously on the bank I got nothing and on the yak I got my echomap with side and down view, but I spend much more time doing it the old way and just looking! I don’t hate the tech, in fact I think it’s awesome, but I don’t want to be reliant on it, I love not having a plan of action and figuring it out as I go. Thanks for the surprise Tuesday vid Matt!
