We did a successful No Evidence run with a friend of mine not too long ago. The ghost was in the bathroom in Tanglewood. We made it to hunt us to rule out almost everything. Did a Smudge countdown to see if it's a Spirit. Did a Wraith test, Yokai test, Myling test. Everything test basically. We used every motion sensors, sound sensors, cameras to track it's movement. We also threw every item we could find in the room, so we can rule out Poltergeist. Finally it was down to the damn Obake and Goryo... Probably the worst possible combination in No Evidence. According the sensors and the camera it roamed to the foyer, then to the kitchen, then back to the foyer, then back to the main bathroom. It changed rooms like crazy. It dodged Crucifixes like I dodge responsibilities. It was a damn Goryo. We basically guessed it. It took us around 45 minutes. 45 painful minutes. So yeah, the Goryo "not roaming so much" is basically bullshit. If it exists, it is barely noticeable.

I mean, it doesn't help that the "Goryo's don't roam so much" thing is yet another ability that isn't well explained in the game. All we have to go off is, on Nightmare and Professional, when a ghost is wandering, it has a 30% chance to do a "long-distance roam", but Goryo's (according to the Asylum update patch notes) only have a 15% chance. So they can still wander around freely, but they've got a less, but still higher than 1 in 10, chance to "long-distance roam". It's also never entirely well explained what exactly a "long-distance roam" is.

If the obake can shapeshift what if it could change into one of the player models for a hunt? It would add a significant and easily identifiable ability for both nightmare and the 24X difficulty just like other ghosts that can be identified as soon as they hunt. Plus on multiplayer imagine seeing your teammate running towards you but you realize too late it's actually the ghost based on the heartbeats and blinking, it should be rare as well, with a small percentage of a chance to occur like 15-20 percent every hunt. Im playing more since the custom update. I liked the game, what turned me off was the grind of having to do 15 cases on regular difficulty before being able to load up one truck, get randomly killed 2 cases later and have to start over. But now, you can turn off hunts or item loss on death (it disables earning money but youre guaranteed to never lose what you have), or you can earn hundreds of dollars in 1 go, so it doesnt feel bad to die anymore

I'm gonna be honest, I always know when you're fighting a mimic before the game is over. You're so good at figuring out ghosts by hunts, and almost 9/10 times when you're struggling to figure it out with no evidence I always guess mimic and it always is lol

42:55 To all of those who are confused by the dirty water. The new photo system makes different photos worth different money. Ghost is now worth a set value of $20 as a 3 star photo. Burnt Crucifix, Bone, and dirty water are each $10 as a 3 star photo. Every other photo (including cursed possession and fingerprints) is $5 as a 3 star photo.

Probably one of the coolest moments ive ever had in phasmo was instantly finding a wraith because of its teleport. I used to always walk around with EMF out and this one time literally nothing happened and I got an EMF 5. I told my friend who was with me that i got EMF 5 and literally nothing happened so it has to be a wraith and we left. It was a wraith and my friend asked about how I knew and I then told him about a ton of different ghost tells.

Technically, if you find a ghost ability, it is a 50-50 shot whether or not it is a Mimic or the ghost you saw the ability of. One may think, "what are the odds if it being that ghost" but the Mimic has to choose a ghost to mimic. So it is just as likely to be Mimic as the other ghost.

@@RoundShades No. 50-50 refers to equal chance. The chance of it being a specific ghost is 1/24 (or more, I don't know if they added more) and the chance of it not being a specific ghost is 23/24. If a ghost is to do a specific ability that can only be done by that ghost, it is a 50-50 shot between Mimic and the ghost that has that ability attached to it.

Sometimes the ghost leaves an interaction on another side of the door (: Checked. Once I also heard an interaction with the door - captured - nothing, took a picture from another side of the door... Boom! There was an interaction (: And what about that "Abilities used" very interesting thing in the stats of the match. Because I was sitting in Sunny Meadows about 50 minutes, trying to beat this 24x trophy challenge... And? During those 50 minutes any used abilities. Any. It was Yurei also. Maybe just a bug in the stats.

I am writing down everything I know about the ghosts from memory onto paper and I am on page 7 and am only like half way done. I do another page every other day when I have to write about something in class. I choose Phasmo. Example: The Moroi is a ghost that speeds up when the player's average team sanity gets lower. At about 50% sanity or higher, the Moroi will move at about 1.5 m/s as opposed to the normal 1.6 m/s of ghosts. As the sanity gets lower, the Moroi becomes very fast. After a while in line of sight, the Moroi can be even faster (assuming 0 sanity and line of sight) than a revenant (3 m/s when in line of sight). The Moroi, however, has a weakness during hunts in which a smudge stick will repel the Moroi for 12 seconds (instead of the usual 6 seconds on other ghosts). The Moroi can also curse the player through the use of a spirit box and a paramic. This curse will rapidly drain the sanity of the player even if the player is in the light. This curse is disabled when the player leaves house but reactivates upon reentering the house. The curse can only be stopped by eating a sanity pill. The curse can be reapplied by another response through a spirit box or paranormal sound through the paramic. The spirit box will even curse you if it is activated on the floor and gives a response (I am pretty sure. You can fact check this sentence). The paramic will give the curse when hearing a paranormal sound (I forget if they got rid of the footsteps counting or not). The Moroi will ALWAYS have spirit box as an evidence when the given evidence is set to 1,2, or 3 (at 0 evidence, no spirit box will be given).

Whats funny is, as a noob i instinctively did 2 things right, even tho it wasnt why i was doing it : 1- staying in the dark as much as possible, not even bringing a flashlight sometimes, so my sanity could drop faster (my reasoning was as the noob in the group it matters less if i die, i wont lose money i dont have, so let the ghost hunt me) 2- always starting with a video camera to rule out the mimic right away (although my reason was simply because i preferred the night vision of the vidcam to the flashlights and i knew ghost orbs were a piece of evidence so win-win)

You asked about whether the banshee gives EMF on using it's ability. I don't think so as far as a test I did the other day went. The first EMF I got was a crucifix beneath my feet being eaten. It was one of the few times I got the scream while searching for the ghost room so I decided to do some testing. I was on sunny meadows and it walked from the male wing to me in the warden's office "safe spot". I'm guessing banshee is also one of the broken stats you mentioned as it had 0 abilities used even though it clearly wandered to me at least once and I heard the scream but neither were counted. I'm not too surprised by the scream as it is probably passive but the wander is a more active ability. From other testing, it also feels like after the banshee/ phantom initiate their wander ability they cannot hunt, do an interaction or ghost event until they are within a certain range of their targets.

After last huge game update, i honestly can't even remember if Insym had yurei do it's ability at all. And i personally didn't saw it in my gameplay either. Inb4 at the moment this ghost is actually broken. Or it's insane how rare banshee screams or yurei abilities can be... I personally don't see any problem with making the scream more often, especially when we have some other way more obvious ghosts. And to prove it, last time i did x15 difficulty, i had insane banshee that stalked me at the sunny meadows(first, near the courtyard corridor, then) entrance LITERALLY non stop. I could saw through salt how she patrolled to me and to her ghost room, whatever this place was. It was the most creepy shit ever, lol, knowing that this ghost following player always. In other words, it is very obvious already anyway, if you know how the ghost works and your guess was right. Same with mimic with 0 evidences, or oni that blinks faster, or wraith that literally teleports to player, unlike banshee, or a demon, that insta killed me with 100% sanity and 0 seconds grace period., etc... I literally can go forever, lol. Even though i knew it was a banshee, it took me 15-20 minutes to prove it through parabolic microphone. That part wasn't fun.

They really HAVE to start adding fail-safes to some of these ghost abilities to make games less of crapshoots. 40 minutes with 0 abilities is absolutely inexcusable. An average game is much shorter than 40 minutes, and there are ghosts that you can find out in a matter of seconds through a single hunt. The banshee, yurei, and mare need to have their abilities forced after a certain amount of time, and the goryo and obake just need reworked. Make the goryo have a hidden ability that can give it away like making it invisible during certain ghost events rarely since it is shy. The obake should have its unique fingerprints stay but also give it unique footprints so that no evidence runs are possible. Maybe give it an additional hidden ability where it can temporarily change ghost models for a ghost event.

Tbh I wouldve said that was a demon as well on the one round. The chances of a mimic hunting at 90% is so low, and I'd defintiely be in the same boat of not wanting to deal with a aggressive hunter. I had one on my 15x challenge where I set it up to where I entered the Asylum with 100% sanity and as soon as I walked in the door shut behind me. It hunted 4 more times before its regular hunting threshold so it was a fight the whole case and i didn't even get it cause it refused to ghost event me and I had ouija board.

Obake and Goryo should be changed for sure. They are definitely the most frustrating to figure out in little-evidence runs. An obake, being a shapeshifter, should have a visual appearance change between hunts. Maybe it changes the weapon it's holding, or the clothes it's wearing? I think Goryo should only be able to hunt from it's ghost room, and should not be able to change it's ghost room. Sure, for experienced players this makes guessing these ghosts a lot easier. It's a game right, not supposed to be frustrating.
