Professor Benn is a National Treasure in the medical field . I wish her well in her continued work in her Breast Clinic. She is an amazing asset to women in SA

I was at jhb gen recently and had to go to dermatology. The matron there immediately recognised I had an anxiety disorder and helped so much I was sooo impressed not only was she organised she was kind to the patients putting me at ease immediately. Some people should be recognised for the incredible job they do under incredible pressure so grateful because it hasn't been my experience in all hospitals. Some sisters are real gems

I couldn't agree more with Prof Ben. It starts at the top. I've had my own experience at Edendale Hospital.

This is true, this is why the country is run down,it started already with evil Mandela,it started when he made 9 provinces and called it job creation, yes it created jobs but at what cost, taxpayers money yes, it opened worse when he brought in affirmative action causing so many people losing their jobs, this caused Eskom to go down because the educated qualified engineers artisans were either fired or offered golden handshake 🤝, and then Mbeki took over and then Zuma, police department are all corrupt, dishonest, it starts on top,the commissioner allow these things to happen,so it flows down 👇👎😢😢

Too many chiefs, doctors and nurses are employees of the hospital, just like civil servants ,they serve the state, hospital ceo and managers are to blame for not having control over the staff , this problem is massive , itll take a strong leader to turn this mess around, it s a shameful mess.there are diamonds amongst them but they are scared to speak up, staff are militant and dont take well to order.

Something about the training of nurses seems off. Long nails , undignified uniform dress code messy , oily hair.. slow coach service.. Always tired , chewing gum , always hungry, yawning. … How do they expect the public to respect them when the hate their jobs Awful disgusting unprofessional people

Its not only Hellen, but all over SA, one bright lite in this dark maze is Charlotte Makexe, they are also are showing cracks in the plastered walls, but we expect the best treatment, not being rude and unfriendly and unconcerend attitude, those patients pay your salary bud, like it or not. Period.

OK, some of us don't have a choice. Luckily I'm at jhb gen heart failure. Whilst there is room for improvement, Helen J is a death trap Bara is OK but old and needs staff. All govt ministers should not be allowed to utilise pvt hospitals and only govt.

The harsh reality of most South African hospitals. Tygerberg Hospital is an academic and training hospital with no sanitation for health care workers . Walls are broken . Patients get no food. At one stage “Gift of the Givers” gave food to patients… Basic care is unheard of. This was a great hospital once upon a time where remarkable surgeries were performed.. It is dark, smelly and home to all kinds of pests and roaches.. It is almost worse than the video clip.. Patients are sick and the most vulnerable but they have to endure the worst care… Everything must change promptly.. Stop stealing funds that is meant for healthcare and the infrastructure of this country … Please stop your evil deeds and prepare a Health care system to benefit your own generations to come as well.
