You have to win Gold for India in Olympics or your respective sporting world cup in order to be relevant. Nobody cares about a stupid Thomas cup or tom/dick/harry sporting event. You guys are not even minuscule as compared to Indian Cricket as ICC events are all or none. Their is no Silver or Bronze and in my view these medals are irrelevant and its only an Olympic gold that Matters. He along with Satwik Sairaj have achieved the feat of WORLD NO 1 pair (The only Indian pair EVER to do so). He won the prestigious THAILAND OPEN just the last year. He was a part of the squad which won the THOMAS CUP , the first Thomas cup of India EVER (aka Olympic of Badminton) . They are also the first Indians to win a gold at Asiad Badmintons. So all in all, more than him needing a title, you need some enlightenment. PV Sindhu winning Olympics silver and Neeraj Chopra winning a Javelin gold has made some difference to the sport but the pace is slow. Now, please don't say, you haven't heard these names. So at times, we need tough words to fall on deaf ears. Also, you might want to know that Wimbledon is only in tennis and not in Badminton.
