People are so bothered about a little drone. But a hot air balloon going over or a helicopter hovering Overhead. Because there’s nothing they can do about those. Outside of taking off and landing, balloons and helicopters have to stay above 500 feet (1,000 feet in built up areas). Drones have to stay below 400 feet. They do not occupy the same airspace.

@@garyevans8116 The point is if the balloon or helicopter is above the minimum flying height (500 feet) they are exempt from trespass regulations - Section 76 of the Civil Aviation Act 1982. Drones are not. From the CAA - Drones and remotely piloted aircraft should be flown at a height over the property of another person which is ‘reasonable’ in all circumstances. Failure to do so could amount to trespass if the flight interferes with another person’s ordinary use and enjoyment of land and the structures upon it.
