Bigger Bolder Baking well I asked in another comment “Can you do a simple series (nothing fancy or complicated, just daily food) that goes like this “no eggs? Or baking soda? Dairy?” etc and you replied with a list of healthy recipes..?? I just meant recipes like this one you posted with essential ingredients we can’t get right now. Thanks.

My oldest grandson has been making pancakes since he was 3 with me and the secret ingredient is melted butter . He has made these at school and taught his other gran how to make them. He loves banana bread so these would be right up his street, he’s 14 next month and has Asperger syndrome. He starts 3rd year in high school in August fingers crossed the schools are opened then and he has picked home economics as one of his subjects. Love your channel and baby George is gorgeous. Ann Marie, my son has Aspergers and is 30 now. He found his specialty in pies. Made them for all the gatherings. Now he kneads my bread dough due to my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. He makes it so funny by talking to the bread. We were so lucky to have him and Im sure you feel the same about your grandson.

Been using home-made oat flour for years! I just quickly grind dry Quaker Oats in an electric coffee bean grinder, as needed. Oats are about a hundred times healthier for you than nasty, devitalized white flour! You get a nice load of heart-healthy and elimination-healthy natural fiber with oats. And, another added bonus, oats are very soothing to your nervous system. Remember to use oat flour wherever you can in other home-baked goodies such as for brownies, cookies and cakes.

@taz121844 жыл бұрын
He has a good point though I always wonder what the difference is or are they the same
@stuartofblyth4 жыл бұрын
@@taz12184 No, they're not the same. Baking soda is pure sodium bicarbonate (often known as "bicarbonate of soda " or simply "bicarb") and nothing else. It relies on added acid (such as lemon juice) or simply heat for it to release its bubbles of carbon dioxide in your batter to make the batter rise as it cooks. Baking powder has a dry, solid acid (such as potassium hydrogentartrate, "cream of tartar") and a filler such as flour or cornflour in addition to the sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) so no external acid is required. In this case, simply adding water (either as such or contained in milk etc) dissolves the acid which then reacts with the bicarb to produce the carbon dioxide bubbles. So basically baking powder = baking soda + cream of tartar + filler (e.g. cornflour), and you can make your own baking powder by mixing 1 tsp each of baking soda and cornflour with 2 tsp cream of tartar.

These do look absolutely yummie ! Instantly cravable ! I loved this video.. definitely would like more of the same type. I hadn't noticed it until near the end, but I realized I was smiling ear to ear.. Such a lovely, enjoyable video and a really great recipe. What could be better ?? : ]

I made these for my daughter (I'm allergic to bananas), and her response upon first bite was, "mmmmmmm." She said they were "SOOOOOOO good." She couldn't get over how delicious they were. I added in a small flat of fresh blueberries and used 1/4 cup batter for each pancake, which made 9 pancakes, and I cooked each batch in a tsp of butter. They looked amazing.

I can't believe how good these pancakes taste and how beautiful they turned out. I was a bit skeptical but it turned out just fine. I made them for dinner last night and also this morning for breakfast. I don't really like flour pancakes that much because they leave a strange taste in my mouth and they make me feel bloated. However, these pancakes don't have that weird after taste and strangely enough I felt satisfied but satiated after eating 2 pancakes. If you like eating whole foods you'll probably enjoy eating these. I buy 12 grain bread and I enjoy it very much but for those of you who like eating inexpensive white processed bread you might not be able to appreciate the quality of these pancakes. Thank you for sharing such a gem with us. I greatly appreciate it as this will be a staple in my diet.

Since the hand imulsion blender is already dirty from the oats, I would use that to make a banana puree.

you could use it it to mix everything together. that would give a smoother batter too. personal preference I guess LOL

@@biggerbolderbaking actually it messes with the texture and the pancake cooks really funny. I've tried it too many times! The bananas need to be kinda clumpy.

A D I’ve found letting my batter rest for a few minutes and a slightly higher temp helps cooking issues. However mouth feel will be different, more smooth and cake like.

I have a hand mixer just like that and the problem might be that alot of the banana would stick to the mixer, and it's hard to get it all off, not worth the hassel .....but it's nice that you're thinking of easier ways 😋

Noooo, George won’t be washing up....😂 I made my pancakes with figs puréed from some fig jam I canned last year. Really good recipe, I liked the more rustic texture.

I made these for dinner this evening...I love them! I used applesauce instead of bananas and they came very good. I also prepared a bunch of oats to have on hand for future use. ❤️

Well done, you! Oat flour is good to have on hand. You can use it for a host of recipes.
