My daughter was kept from me her entire life that’s 20 years, I was taken to court, accused of abuse, had dvo put on me and my daughter manipulated to the point she is actually not wanting a relationship with me because of the feministic house hold she grew up in. I never did anything to deserve it but the good old Australian government didn’t give a shit either. I’ve been close to ending it many times the pain and suffering was insane. My husband went through this too. The child support agency told the mother if she only had 50% access she would lose alot of money each fortnight. The mother decided to keep the child full time and that my husband would have to take her to court if he wanted access. We could not afford this at the time. My husband always paid child support and one time he overpaid and cs told him that they gifted her the extra money and she did not have to return it. My husband threatened to sue cs if they took another cent from his bank account until his money had been caught up.

Thank you Danny for putting this issue in a Vlog. Human services did everything they could to break me and never listened to me once. I never missed one payment in 4 years and overpaid to cause no issues. The more successful I got in Real Estate the more they would take and make me feel as though i was lying to them each time an assessment was done. I was told numerous times we will force payment even though i had never missed a payment. They almost pushed me over the edge and had no sympathy at all and couldn't care one bit for my mental health or my point of view. I was one of the lucky ones who got through, many men don't. Like many fathers I have a similar story. Its interesting to see that the US and Australia are similar in the way the court system is broken! I'm a veteran I served 2 tours in Iraq, and suffer from PTSD. I was made to feel like this makes me a bad father. We are treated like second class citizens. The female judge I had in the liberal state of Colorado took nearly 60% of my take home pay, 100% of my parenting time. The court system has allowed my ex to have a restraining order which prohibits me from owning firearms (which has me discharged from the Army after 11 years) there was no evidence that abuse ever took place, but simply that as a veteran trailed to use a weapon and this makes me a "danger". Its criminal the freedom that family court judges have to ruin a man's life. And here in the US your drivers license can be taken if you don't pay, and it won't be returned until 3 on time payments have been made. Good luck to you!

I know the feeling I've been called a deadbeat Dad by some pansy sounding "male" from child support because I missed some payments due to being out of work even though I told them the reason for it. As a male dealing with Child Support is an absolute mine field and causes so much mental strain and mental health issues to us Blokes just trying to get by and do the right thing. They never once harass the females like they do us and they have a bad habit of over guesstimating my income at times then I have to fill out a ton of paperwork to get it made right even with proof from the ATO they still wouldn't drop the extra charges and late fees etc. I cannot wait till I don't have to pay again.
@Abe-rz1nm3 жыл бұрын
How do you know they don't harass females? They never had to harass me because I was so scared of them that I made sure that everything was up to date. They are cold and they are a pain to deal with, but it's not personal. The women have to pay just as much as the men do. And the reason they may favour women is because of some of the horror stories they come across. My friend who used to be beaten by her husband, left him, and while he continued to harass her so badly that she had a nervous breakdown and has been on Valium for a year, still had to pay him child support.

Same stuff happened to me. They use to mess up the reporting of my payment status yearly. The yearly reporting to court for my “missed” child support was embarrassing, belittling and frustrating to say the least. I was never behind and had my son more days in a year and every year from the time his mother and I separated,. I Paid for everything when it came to him. However, they continued to try and break my morale. On one of my yearly false delinquency court visits, I remember them telling a young father whom lost his job, to live in his car if he couldn’t afford his child support.

They took my drivers license and passport away from me and I'm not even behind in payments. Its been 18 plus years now but its finally over. I have to now go to court to have a judge tell them to take the restrictions off which costs me lawyers fees as its not done automatically once the payments are finished. They contacted every employer I had over the 18 years and told them to garnish my wages as if I was a criminal or something. Totally embarrassed at every new job I started .

I have done my best to maintain a positive and meaningful relationship with my child but the demeaning and inhumane nature of the CCS/CSA grinds you down. CCS is a marginal and unpopular political football and will never be adopted as major policy reform. We cannot rely on politicians or bureaucrats to change this broken mess. Child Support is a manufactured debt and is a violation of our human rights. If change is what you need than do not vote Labor as they were the major party that introduced the scheme in 1988 and are extremely unsympathetic to men in this situation.

"We love our kids just as much as the mother does," yet the man of the family is given no credit for the emotional development or well being of the child. In the eyes of the government and/or the judicial system, the father is nothing more than a dollar sign. I have lost three children to kidnapping by their mother. For kidnapping, a man would be put in prison, but if it's the mother the law does not view that as a crime where I live in the USA...

Brings up a lot of the feelings I have and still going through. Never missed a payment but equally never respected or listened too. System is broken, when you allow financial gain from holding kids from a loving parent. I feel for those parents men and women that do the right thing but are burdened by those that do the wrong thing.

Problem is 1000 people have watched this.... turn it the other way and there would be SJW outrage and a million views. It is hard being on the right side of right sometimes. Just think about what you have provided, and will continue to provide for your kids. .. sleep well.

Well said Dan. Been on the receiving end of child support's threats myself. You seem like an awesome Dad. Two lucky kids.

Sounds like a story many men have similar experiences. The system is outdated and it should get overhauled to the current times

I've been loving all your travel videos for quite some time, this is the first I feel the need to comment on. Thankyou for speaking so elequantly on the topic. We need more like this to give hope to dads in similar situations. Keep up the good work Daniel.

Totally agree with this…. The system is broken and is degrading to mostly the males, especially when you have justified concerns about the kids…. In my case their education and living arrangements…..the ex prefers the bottle & cigs nowadays.
@rower66493 жыл бұрын
That is such a ridiculous comment! Could you even prepare a meal, wash clothing, help with homework, prepare ATAR or create a warm home. I think your the one reflecting with the bottle and cigarettes!

Yep. I got injured at work. I ended up getting 60% of my wagers at the time. I had to pay her something like 40% BEFORE TAX. And as you said they didn’t care and they never will.

i wish this was the case for my father, he has been in and out of work but only told the child support people that he wasn't working, so now that he has a job he isn't paying and hasn't been for 3 years i also haven't lived with him for 3 years.

I live in the UK and I pay child support for my little boy, I have never missed a payment but because I got Ill and the money had to go down for a short period of time, my ex said no money no child. So because I no longer see him child support goes up through no fault of my own. The system is stacked toward women and fleecing the dads.

I had my encounter with one of their Man Hating Staff. I didn't even owe any money. The ex just decided oneday to reneg on our private agreement. I no longer answer my phone if I don't know who is calling now.

I am a man in my 40's and I am starting my journey of Child support and I am so scared and not sure im emotionally strong enough to go through it.. I am a good man and I love my son and even him at the age of 14 can see that the system is wrong. I thankyou for your post letting me know I'm not alone and to try and survive through the next few years.

Just stumbled across your channel in the last couple of weeks to see the stage 4 dyno - hillarious! Your Harley content is great, but these are my favorite vlogs. The one year single vlog was a masterpiece. Keep it up Danny!

Well I am a single mother of two children and I wish their father was like you. I broached the subject of putting our boys into a private school and splitting the cost in half and he absolutely refused. He worked cash jobs so that most of his wages weren't counted in his tax returns, he did this until 1 year before our boys turned 18. I worked full time to support our children. Once they turned 18 he really has had nothing to do with them. It's really sad to see. The door has always been open for him to have access, he could take them out any time, ring them anytime. I nearly lost our boys at once stage because he was with a woman and because I was working 40hrs a week to support our children they tried to say I wasn't a fit parent (That was thrown out pretty quickly by my lawyer) and fought for more custody, lasted about 2 years and then stopped, too much work, I was forced to quit that job then due to this situation. So yeah. Your situation makes me very angry.

It has been going on for decades and yep spot on.l suffered their imcompetence for decades.Individuals within the system often bully without accountability.

My friend your story resonates with many men. The system is indeed broken. I’m lucky enough to have an arrangement that is affordable. However many men do not. Thank you for making this video. Will share.

I can tell you exactly why... a big portion of Dads don’t pay or pay so little and lie about earnings that unfortunately you doing the right thing is also scrutinised. I am owed 80,000.00 of which I will never see. I know many women just like me. It’s good to see someone doing the right thing!

That was great mate I have not seen my 6year old son for over 12 months due to an AVO now the AVO has ended I'm being told I can't see my son because of Covid. Local corrupt police will not help me in anyway what so ever and infact still intimidate when I question them about the law and position I'm in. I can't even get local police to partake in welfare checks as I have a genuine concern for my sons living conditions. Thanks for your video Danny 👍
