I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, enjoyed some time off work and visiting with friends and family. I thought I would take you along on my Thanksgiving week starting with the easy meals we had leading up to the big day, all the Wednesday night prep, finishing touches on Thursday and finally some footage from the big family dinner complete with the blessing of the food by my sweet uncle. Whoo idk what it is about the apple cider vinegar but I actually tried that this year after seeing it in a recipe and you are not kidding it just makes them. So delicious. I used to make mine with white vinegar but I will never go back.

Your chicken taco soup looks delicious! We love that in our house. I have made it with the chopped corn tortillas. It's like the dissolve into the broth and thicken it up. Also I noticed you use alot of Pampered Chef products. I'm a total PC fan. I'm not a rep or anything, but I have used their products since, I think, like 1997!! You need to be sponsored by PC!

Oh Mel this was a wonderful video. I loved you showing how you make your food, but just love how you always say, but make it to how to like it. Saying that, covers you and no complaints of how some people get bent out of shape if you aren't making it their way. I so much enjoyed the prayer before you all ate. To some that may not mean much, but it means alot to me and really blessed my heart hearing him pray. My husband came in the living room and said are you ok? I said yes I'm texting Mel. He said who? I said,you know my friend that lives somewhere down near the Knoxville area. He said oh, cause he hears me talking about you but just hasn't gotten your name down pat yet. Lol He relates when I say you live down toward the Knoxville area. You make soon much of the same things I make and buy. I told my husband well thought we were total twins until you made the devil eggs. Lol I don't put sweet relish or mustard in mine, but that is fine cause we all have different likes of taste. I just put mayo, salt, white vinegar, in my egg yolk filling. Then sprinkle paprika on top. I make them the way my mom made them all the time, but my husband mom made hers with sweet pickle relish in them. My husband and one of his brothers like them made the way I make them. That is the way his wife always makes them also. Wished I liked sweet pickles but I hate them! I am a dill pickle person. I love knowing how you fix and like certain things. I'm going to have to try the way you make broccoli rice casserole. I have made it several different ways. I really haven't found the perfect one to the point I won't make it any other way yet. I liked the recipe I used for Thanksgiving really well this year. 3 cups cooked rice put in a 2 qt square baking dish 2 tbsp butter 1 onion & 1/2 cup celery diced & sauted 1 can cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery soup 1 (12 oz) bag frozen broccoli florets, cooked to your liking 1 (5 oz) can evaporated milk 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded Mix all of that together and pour on top of the rice. Bake in the oven on 325 for 30 mins. It says not to stir the mixture up into the rice. That mixture makes a crust like mixture that sticks to the rice. You can actually cut it out into squares. It was real good, but when I put it in my plate I mushed it all together and stirred it up. Lol I used the word mushed cause you did. 😆 sorry so long but had alot to tell you. I only like to eat dill but I like sweet in recipes LOL I don't know why that is ... That broccoli and rice casserole sounds really delicious! And it is neat that you end up being able to cut it into squares too. I use lots of funny words like mush, I didn't realize how many strange things I said until I started recording myself LOL But hey, it's just who I am LOL Thanks so much for always watching and being so supportive. Have you ever made the Eclair Cake in the Chocolate Mint Flavor. We love the original but we also like this Mint Version. To the original recipe you make the following changes. The pudding you sub in White Chocolate Pudding for the vanilla. Then you add 1/2 tsp peppermint extract and 4 drops of green food coloring. The grahams you sub in the chocolate crackers. Everything else remains the same in the recipe. We like this version in the winter . I have also made it for a St Patrick's Day potluck at work. I have made Eclair Cakes for at least 35 years. It is one of our favorite recipes. I made this recipe for my husband's family the first 4th of July after we started dating. We were married 32 years this past October. Your Thanksgiving Dinner looks delicious.

What a wonderful video. The blessing was beautiful and so heartfelt ❣ what a wonderful family you have been blessed with. Yes today when the hubby and I went to the store, so many shelves were empty and I could see he was getting agitated. But I said to him, we are so blessed, we still have so much to chose from and the money to purchase it. 😭 this is such a sweet comment, I'm gonna cry 🥰 good tears, of course. Looking back thru my film I caught so many sweet moments I would not have seen if I hadn't just set my phone up to let it record. I also see some of our folks getting older, makes the time even more precious. ❤ And thank you so much for saying that about my filming, I am not the most professional, I barely scrape by with the technology, but I do feel led to share my "thing" on this platform. Mel everything looks so delicious! That eclair cake looks so decadent 😋. I never thought to cook my mashed potatoes in the slow cooker, and I love that you can keep it warm. Everything looked yummy! It’s always frustrating when a picture makes something look so good and it’s totally different. We used to like some of the sweet treats that Pizza Hut had. This Thanksgiving I used my really small cookie scoop to scoop the deviled egg filling into the egg and it was the perfect amount. It worked so well that I’ll definitely do it again.

Everything looks delicious, especially that eclair cake! I’ve seen a few people do the frosting in the microwave like that, but haven’t tried it yet. I also haven’t tried crock pot mashed potatoes, but I have done them in my Instant Pot. Looks like y’all had a nice celebration for Thanksgiving!

Chocolate ganache is better on top of Eclair cake and French vanilla. That's how I learned to make! Either way it's all good!

When you take your eggs out of the refrigerator to make your deviled eggs flip your eggs over From one end to the other and let them sit to get room temperature before boiling them your eggs will be centered.
