This is my go-to method now. My hair has never felt better!! And it's growing!! Using just the oils and no leave-in conditioner shortened my drying time and left my hair softer. I have since added flax seed gel (another recipe of hers) to the oil mix and the results are AMAZING and long lasting! (I just blended it all together with an immersion blender, and popped it into the fridge to make it creamy.) Got great results for almost a week with just making 4 chunky twists at night to keep it all together. Thanks Whit!!! You ROCK!

Its 1am and I'm up watching videos that I've seen several times before...and I must admit I love twist outs. I just like the way my hair comes out and I get tons of compliments. But, I truly wanted to say, thanks to Whitney for making all of these videos. When I first went natural I had no idea what I was doing or what direction to go in. I was a product junkie BIG TIME!!! Always looking for that magical wonder product. But it all came through patience and time. All of these videos helped me so much. I'm glad that I could actually see someone do it and show me the proper way to achieve what I wanted to do. Thanks so much!!

I'm so grateful that I had these videos to guide me along my natural hair journey and I'm glad you had that experience, too!

My hair is medium length. I tried this and it worked AWESOMELY. It made my hair look closer to its actual length, which was very exciting. The only thing I would change is flat twisting the eight section down instead of just regular twists. I have 4C hair, (it's really coarse, kinky and curly), so my roots were still really thick. I loved it and I will be doing this for the rest of my life!! Thank you Naptural85!!

Try a sleek low sock bun! I did that when I graduated with my B.S. If you do it early enough the night before, it will lay down nicely all day. I used gel to smooth down the edges, then took a blow dryer to it for a quick minute. When it was dry/semi dry, I wrapped the pulled-back section with my scarf and I was good to go!

I tried this method on my hair and it worked. One thing that I never did was let my hair fully dry. That is the key to eliminating frizz. My hair is shorter so I made adjustments but the oil to seal is the best for keeping my hair moist. I think in winter more is required than just oil maybe shea butter. That helped me this past winter but I don't need it as much now that it is warmer.

I have a tight curl pattern as well that easily frizzes and I would definitely NOT let my hair completely dry then separate. I do something similar to this but I separate my curls when my hair is 75-80% dry. The little moisture that's still present helps to prevent the frizz. It won't be as stretched as her hair but that's what works for me. And yes as was mentioned separate with lots of oil on your hands.
@shaykay1079
@shaykay1079 11 жыл бұрын
I totally understand what you mean. I have a very, very tight COIL pattern (so tight it's no longer curls but coils). Separating causes more frizz and less definition, but I think it's safe so say the tighter your pattern the less of a chance at definition you have. However, we get lots of volume with our hair, which I think is a good bonus.
