@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Hey Josh, great video as always brother, helpful and informative. I like that this is quick kill so that you can quickly SEE what you may have missed. Will it harm established trees? I have a bunch of Poison Ivy in my woods and I don't want something that will absorb into the roots through the soil. Also does this actually KILL the plants or just defoliate. I mean vinegar works but you have to spray over and over as stuff comes back. Thanks Josh, God Bless you. I know that this journey has not been an easy one but I wish you all the best.

I just ordered some. My front and backyards are loaded with weeds, and I'm too old to be out there pulling them. Frankly, I'd rather the roots stay in the soil, so this sounds like a good solution. Glyphosate is bad news. It's everywhere, but at least we can ensure we don't put it around our homes in our gardens.

What impressed me in this video is the precise level of control your sprayer gives you. The side lines look pretty sharp with minimal drift. I like relatively straightish grass lines along my drive. Thanks for including the drone shots during your application.

Hey Josh, I have a lot of gravel on my farm too. One thing I’ve found that helps keep your driveways free of weeds is after spraying renting the Ventrac power rake and turning the gravel over in your driveway. It helped to completely pull up and pulverize all the dead weeds and makes the driveway look like you laid new fresh gravel down. Always enjoy the content. Thank you for sharing!

Glyphosate has a different vector than this, it can attack the roots so it’s better at dealing with weeds with deep tap roots. The best way to make it more effective is to lightly strim the the weeds first, this then exposes more of the weed internals and allows the glyphosate to penetrate quicker. BUT people really need to read the warnings and take them seriously, if it can penetrate weeds then it can penetrate your skin and eye membranes, you have to wear gloves, goggles and a mask, and don’t do it on a windy day because it can blow back in your face. This stuff is like a better soap, it works by removing the wax leaf coating and the weed dies out, deep tapped weeds will come back again and again, so it’s a battle to slowly weaken them so grass can out compete them. It’s great for organic farms but I think domestic users might be better off selectively using both, but only using glyphosate against really tough weeds that they can identify as such and away from crops. As a society we really need to get away from improving yield through toxic chemicals and fast growing animals, we are starting to see every generation developing some really bad behavioural issues and medical conditions, and the only thing that has changed is the increased pollution in the food chain and environment

You guys know if you burn hay with a herbicide/glyphosate, and the smoke gets over your clothes, if it would be denatured or would it be stick in clothes? Is it washable? I had a friend burn a bunch of hay and I was stuck in the smoke and I suspect I might need to clean the clothes but I have no idea how to remove this from clothes? Any tips? Or thoughts?

@@heythere6983 he should be burning the hay first and then applying the glyphosate? Simply to break up the weed structure first and clear out the litter. Had hay and decided to burn it in his backyard , but I was stuck in it for like an hour and had the clothes in my room, felt like I was getting sick , baggy eyes , dark circles , washed the clothes in a Short cycle and like a week later I felt it coming back . So I starts to worry I brought a bunch of toxins in my room and spread it amongst my belongings etc. I might take a test to see if I have it in my system. Idk if there is a test for clothing or items to see if they have glyphosate. I hope I’m wrong because I haven’t heard of a way to get rid of it, especially on household items

My Mennonite neighbor loves using glyphosate (Roundup) and sprays the border fence b/n our properties. I realized later that he sprayed right after I opened up that pasture for my lambs to graze. I found her lethargic, drooling with watery eyes in the field laying in the sun. Tried treating her, vet said it was glyphosate poisoning and untreatable. She died that died. I checked the pasture and saw the over spray into my pasture. My neighbor and I had a "discussion".

for a gravel drive a box blade with the scarifiers down making a few trips back and forth works. You just need to disturb the roots. For the other stuff, vinegar and dish soap mixed in with something like you are using works better. for a more 'biblical' juice add in salt.

That’s nonsense, sodium fluoroacetate is a salt too and it’ll kill you in a few hours. Glyphosate is ‘safe’ as long as you use full protective gear and keep it away from crops and animals, but then so are flamethrowers. I use it too, but I treat it as a known carcinogen. Read the warning labels, that’s what they are there for.
