It is very hard being a Christian especially nowadays we must stick together. I knew when I found Jesus becoming a christian would not be easy because I had to leave my sinful lifestyle behind. I was fired for not getting the vaccine I was worried about side effects. I have lupus and been struggling for years with all my medications aches and pains. I’m a single mother with two autistic boys now with no income now. We are running low on food and daily necessities. Im so thankful for the few kind strangers that have helped me so far. I feel so alone, and I’m so embarrassed over my situation. But I have faith Jesus will carry me through this.

If your case was strong about refusing the vaccine, a doctor would have backed you up. What happened? Don't play the martyr if you aren't. What I hate about vaccine hesitancy so much is the brazen cowardice I've never seen in all my 70 years as an American. There is no willingness to sacrifice for the common good much less one's real safety. I also hate the way these same people call 911 when they're deathly ill or hit by a car. Hey, it's the same EXACT group of medical professionals, Einstein! Stop calling them stupid or evil...they're not. Proverbs 17:13.

Give all your sufferings, doubts, fears and hopes to our Divine Mercy - who loved you and your children before anyone else was aware of you! Totally agree with you. We are all hungering for priests that can teach and articulate the scriptures in this manner. I would say we are starving. There is only one Bishop Barron, but we need others who can nourish us at this level and intensity and make the Word come alive.

Totally agree. When I was a teen, it took going out of the Catholic Church; hearing the excitement of preaching & teaching the Word of God, praying in small groups togethe, singing with vibrancy…and when I went back to a Catholic mass, I was stunned at the lack of vitality in most sermons. But thsnkfully, the Lord is working to raise up revival & renewal. ❤️🙏,

@Curtis VanH It would seem unlikely to me that God would be present where Jesus was not and it seems equally unlikely that Jesus would be present where the Holy Spirit was not. That to me is the essence of the Trinity and helps me to understand it better without a lot of mental/spiritual gymnastics.

I listened to this sermon a second time in May 2023. I've been wrestling with loving God as much as I love my husband of 39 years. We were unable to have children; have been together since we were in our early 20s; and I have serious problems with bipolar disorder. My husband has been my anchor through the years physically and mentally. I see now that my great love for my husband comes through and from my love of God. The two don't compete: I couldn't love my husband as I do if not for God's grace and my love of Him. Bishop Barron, my life was changed when I first found you. A convert to Catholicism, you've helped make my faith more vibrant and alive. Words cannot express my debt of gratitude to you.

To really LOVE THE LORD reciting words is not enough, actions are needed, to renounce SIN IS NEEDED. To love God is to Fear the Lord, and this fear is not the fear of BEING PUNISHED BY GOD, BUT THE FEAR TO OFFEND THE LORD. Israel is the Catholic Church. Inside the Catholic Church is THE SALVATION OF MANKIND. PEOPLE NEED TO EAT THE ETERNAL BREAD, THE ETERNAL WORD IN ORDER TO BE SAVED.

Return to church because God commands you. There is 168hrs a week given to you. God commands 1 hr of you either Saturday evening, or Sunday. It’s not for Him -but for you. Return to church because Jesus is fully present in the Eucharist (Catholic). Body, blood, soul and divinity. (The personality of the priest is ultimately irrelevant.) Return to church because if you take one step toward Him- He will run to you. Peace.

Since I've been following The CHOSEN and Jesus prays some of the Jewish prayers like the Shema and the morning prayer. They are short prayers with great depth. Thank you

I find myself often intoning 'all good things come from God'. When I pause to appreciate the splendour of a rose, or someone shares good news or an expected moment of joy. Bishop Barron, as always you've helped me to understand our Sunday readings so much more. Thank you.

Today, I was hearing a sermon to focus on Psalm 146. This Psalm focuses on praising God as the the only one who can make us whole. People will always disappoint but not God. The Powerful humans come and go but God is Eternal. God forgive me for anything done wrong.
