This subject has so many layers. But, the real bottom line is the way you treat another person is an issue of the heart. The only thing that changes the heart is a turning of the heart to God. However, if I had to simplify the issue, the one thing I would say is: Treat other people the way you want to be treated.

We also have half the force in San Jose and all they can do with our population is respond to very dangerous events such as drug and firearms busts and they are not available to respond to those safety issues in various neighborhoods and yes what is needed is social services and drug rehab specialists this takes lots and lots of funding. And our less fortunate and homeless population are a focus group and important to support also

When we had funding here we had community service officers in policing which made it possible for officers to be present on a regular basis in our schools so that students learn who they are as they grow up. When California cut the budget and the budget for restorative justice programs that offered young offenders attention we all suffered but mostly the kids.
