I remember my first round of Engineer on goon I did this. I ended up “training” another new guy, giving him whatever information I found out on the spot, this ended up with the entirety of Engineering flooded with Plasma and Co2, and my trainee dead. 10/10 would recommend this trick.

I used to be an engineer in SS13. I did okay. But I never did atmos stuff. Mostly stuck with /tg/code stations, is why, so it wasn't too necessary. Still, dead rounds, I colonized the asteroid, created a station on the expedition, and made a true cargonia independent station. The trick to being a good engineer is knowing you know nothing. But doing anyway. Preferably with the wiki open, mind you. Don't take extreme risks, but I'd by a hypocrite if I said I never nearly killed everyone. My first time creating a singularity engine of my very own, I covered all the floors in tiles. Singuloth ate every tile. It went from a very tame barely-active singularity into a full 7x7 barely contained doomsphere. Panic insued. But to my shock, it stayed stable. And I had a lot of power, working, to my experimental station. I learned, and now, I leave my floors bare. Looks are for tools Besides; makes it easier to see my nice wiring.

I used to be able to start up the singulo and some other relatively basic things like wiring, but shit has seriously changed since I last played. I seriously should get back into playing, it's probably been at least two years. I can't imagine how much stuff has changed in that time.

Things have gone from "bolt down the thing, turn on the barriers, stick plasma in the collectors, turn on the PA" to "there is a big yellow crystal in middle of engineering. It absolutely is going to kill you, blow up all of engineering and it's going to be 100% your fault."

On flupstation the best engineers i find are Jonathan Joestar and screw and one more i dont remember the name of. We made a 2Gw SM and put canister fusion in SM as well as before the Pluox change we rand CO2 and Tritium SMs I myself drifted away probably because of all the small changed that atmos is getting that changes the SM setups or the SM changes themselves.
