No win for Takuya in this one, but Ryuji got a podium. However Takuya was back at Central today for a different event and got 2nd place 👍

Nice driving but I have one question. Why is he tapping on throttle when accelerating from corners??
@preludepower4203 жыл бұрын
I think that’s the Aryton Senna technique. Brazilian race genius figured out tapping the throttle is faster than being smooth sometimes. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGXOlH-vjs2Hnqc

Not at all, only his second track event (he won the first one) and Saturday was very skittish track conditions and on brand new tires which were a different compound to his standard ones.. all in all, a very good performance! Worth noting he went back Sunday and got second place in that event.

Doesn't seem to know the car or track very well. Terrible start, not on racing line, missing gears, feeding steering wheel through hands. Would be better off starting with a B16 and actually getting a feel for racing. Seems like too much car for such a young man.
@Roughsmoke3 жыл бұрын
Very good driving actually as this was only his second event at this track and had a WIN in his first event, and also took a second place finish in an event the day after this also. This day the Conditions were very sketchy with a damp track but no continuous rain and all the drivers were complaining of the conditions and the car was also running on a harder compound so not a feeling he was used to.. Note the car also sees some non track use also if you know what we mean, on some areas of tarmac men or women of any age wouldn’t dare tackle - a lot of information there to perhaps make you feel a little different about your initial thoughts of the race that’s a Turbocharged Honda City that overtook after the gear change error, which he re-passed later. 👍

@@Roughsmoke With all respect I stand by my initial thoughts. I've watched video a few times. He does not seem consistent with any racing line. Has trouble with breaking points through the entire race no consistency you get me(even if track conditions were sketchy) seems extremely nervous/unpredictable with other cars around him. I look forward to seeing him drive again in future with more experience. That car has great potential, previous owner was and still is incredible driver. Love your channel and your instagram content. Hope no insult was taken.

@@sharleenfitzgibbon1470 no insult at all, all good, we could also provide further info on the day which was those weather conditions took place in between a 2-hour break from qualifying to race which meant many drivers were trying to find an optimal line.. which for a race this short isn’t easy. Also note the offside fender had caused issues from an incident earlier in the day which was caused it to pull against the tire and make steering and the feedback from it a concern (not something you need in a race and having to attempt to crowbar it back out in the pits was that could be done to resolve the issue live at the time..) All in all a very respectful performance for a second event and with everything noted above going on. Some really good experienced drivers finishing behind on a tricky day all attending. Yes Joe-San has much much experience as the former owner and was fighting a three-way battle for the lead in his CRX in this same race. Thanks for love on channel and IG also, much appreciated.
