Ok so I’m a curly gal and can we agree that we have it hard! Straight haired gals just hop out the shower brush, stick in a bit of leave-in and go (don’t come at me if u have straight hair and do other stuff, it’s just an example!) but no we have to apply a gazillion products and special methods (ngl some of these products are kinda pricey) and even then we can’t guarantee our hair will turn out nice! It is so annoying when you scrunch, lotion, don’t brush etc etc and it still turns out fuzzy ahhh! But when it’s good I wouldn’t have it any other way! 👩🦱 Love you jade :))

C M yuppp. Once I thought my hair actually looked good for once so I wore it down for school. Uhh I love and hate my curls/waves too. Like I feel like they would need better products, but I just don't know what to buy and try:P Also can´t afford really expensive ones. Now I have fallen in love with Garnier's Fructis Hair Food line and especially the Papaya version seems to work pretty damn well. The curly girl method would probably work, but I would need to buy few products more:P My curls used to be much prettier when I was 14 since I washed them with cold water, but now that I don´t have a bath tub which I could use for just washing my hair - I only take whole showers and I hate to take a cold shower:D And I guess even though I was in the end of my puberty years back then - they could have still changed. My hair dresser said that puberty might change the curls. Also I love to have blond highlights in my hair, but in all fairness, I take them pretty much once a year or once in 1 and half years. So yeah, it makes them dryer, but it isn´t as bad as it could be if I took them more often.

The “hardness” of the curly hair you are speaking of is protein! It’s a balance of moisture and protein. If your hair gets too soft, using a gentle protein mask very sparingly is helpful. Great tutorial and your hair is beautiful
@jumbleofjargon4 жыл бұрын
@UnJadedJade I think the hardness you're referring to is protein :)). It helps define curls. So us Coily Curly girls are always trying to maintain a good moisture-protein balance so our hair is soft but still keeps its curly defined structure.

Beautiful hair hun. One tip, you do need to actually brush your hair once out of the shower to remove knots then scrunch up. Apply products one by one, scrunching after each, carefully not to re frizz. When drying, don't touch but do move hair from side to side so it doesn't flatten to your head after removing t shirt.
@CharlotteEvansMusic4 жыл бұрын
I have really curly hair too and i travel a lot so the less products i have to use the better. I normally just use a shampoo bar once a week and for the rest of the time rinse my hair in the shower with water. I very rarely use conditioner as i found it weighed my hair down. Takes a while for your hair to get used to it but now mine is perfectly happy with just shampoo and some oil after washing. I also would recommend you use a perm comb to brush it through rather than a normal brush. Tbh your hair looks lovely the way it is but if you wanted to try and get the same curls without using all the products after you shower i'd recommend ditching the conditioner. Xx

My hair routine for my curly hair developed over years and years of trying so many products, that I realised I don't need that much. @freckles91774 жыл бұрын
I feel you! I actually spent ages (and lots of long hours in the shower) trying to figure out what brands and methods work... it really is just trial and error. Routines don't have to have like 5,000 steps, I just use shampoo and conditioner and some oil if I want it to be not-frizzy. The cost is pretty bad though, stuff for curly hair always seems to cost more than other products, which sucks because we usually end up having to use more of it! 😭 I hope you find your perfect hair-care routine one day! :) 💕

You know what I do to absolutely get the best curls ever as a naturally curly hair owner? I go into the shower, use only water to wash it. I untangle it with my fingers while it's wet. I take a cotton shirt and lose the remaining water. Then I let it air dry. There you go, you have soft, perfectly shaped curls. p.s. if you don't want to have a headache after showering, you can always use a blowdryer with a special head (I don't know the name for it in English, but you got what I meant). Embrace your natural hair type, I think it is way more characteristic and peculiar than straight hair.
