This happens in Pakistan behind the scenes too but not shown by media. Its usual that there is no legal remedy available for husbands in both India and Pakistan against false allegations and complains initiated by women. Woman’s statement is enough for an evidence in law but husband has to prove that he is innocent. There is no check and balance on whether a woman, who is claiming so & so is actually genuine or is she making all this up to blackmail husband for financial settlements? Its high time we question the so called laws we have which is far away from Shariah. Shariah made both husband and wife accountable then why laws heavily focus on men(which is not wrong if the case is genuine). A woman can file more than 5 cases on husbands at one time but name one case which husband can file against a woman to hold her accountable for the destruction of relationship and mental abuse she brings to her children for personal vendetta or financial greed? Rather the law safeguards such women and that’s why we have so many false cases running in court. There are already many statistics that most of them are bogus claims.
