These tuna buns are savory and delicious filled with a creamy tuna filling in the center. They are delightful soft buns that make perfect snacks or breakfasts.
Ingredients for the dough:
4 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup of granulated sugar
3/4 teaspoon of salt
2 large eggs
1/2 cup {113 grams} unsalted butte, melted
2 1/4 teaspoons of instant yeast
1 cup of warm milk
1 tablespoon of flour {for kneading}
Ingredients for the tuna filling:
5 cans tuna, 5 ounces each
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon of tomato ketchup
1/4 cup of mayonnaise
Salt and pepper to taste
3 scallions
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 cup of sweet yellow onion
1 teaspoon of pure honey
