I’m making this for my grandson. I am not using the loops or bobbles or anything else that might be dangerous to a toddler. I will start on the snowflakes on Thursday. Thank you!

I have made a square and a half of bobble snowflakes and frogged all work. The white yarn seems too thin and doesn’t make a substantial bobble …yes I have all nine stitches on my hook. They turned out weedy and very untidy looking. Have been crocheting for half a century. I’ll keep trying.

Please, please how do you do the snowflake squares and not have the white yarn showing through?!!! I have restarted so many times, have watched the video several times, but yet, my white yarn is still too visible on the right side. I am not a beginner crochet bod and yet I am struggling to make it work! 😢

Even Helen's white yarn shows through the dc stitches. As long as the overall effect of the square looks like a snowflake you've done brilliantly!

I'm trying to catch up with this still, stupid work getting in the way 🤣 I can't get these bobble to work though, they look awful, not berry substantial and I'm struggling to get my hook through the loops 😣 anyone else got any tips that have finished it please😭

I am managing to do the bobbles ok and carrying the yarn but I’m finding the white thinner than the other yarns and my squares are not ending up the same size as the trees or each other actually despite the stitch and row counts being correct. Anyone else had this problem?

Would this may have been easier for beginners if you literally filmed every stitch/row. Tbf not even beginners. I’ve been crocheting years but mainly 3d doing all this carrying and swapping is quite hard to follow as a pattern. A full video would’ve been awesome. But thank you for the pattern I am trying to get two done so slightly more pressure 🤪😬

I agree. I can’t get my mind around when to carry on the dc rows to prep for the next row
