@@didthofclankryze2216Dude your prob a ride operator or something basic. Idk how you can make statements about them hating employees who work really hard. Thats a joke. I was a lifeguard there for a little over 2 years. The water park is a completely different place than the regular amusement park. Training is no joke, weeks of rigorous pool safety training, CPR courses, back-boarding procedures, and everything else that relates to saving peoples lives in or out of water. There are plenty of tests with minimum score requirements to ensure every employee is completely competent and knowledgeable. They often expect you to do extra work, regardless if it’s something small or something big. Picking up shifts when you dont have to, staying at the same spot on the rotation for an extra hour because someone needs to take a lunch break, cleaning a mess, etc. There were many times I felt like “this isnt part of my job,” but they encourage you to do it anyway. They have different color beads as a reward system. Each color represents a different accomplishment or desirable behavior. Most of these are given for going above and beyond the basic job requirements. In fact not a single bead is awarded for just doing what you are supposed to perfectly and never making any mistakes. You could be absolutely flawless at your job and never get a bead after years of work. Some people had zero after years, some people had 30 after one year. It all depends on how willing you are to pick up other peoples slack and do their job for them. It also is mostly younger workers and they try to instill a highly adaptive and proactive work ethic which will help the employees in any future jobs or career paths.

I work at a LEGO Brand Retail store and this kind of issue comes up a lot. People expect that the LEGOLAND season pass that they paid for works at a LBR store. It doesn’t. Only the LEGO Insider (formerly VIP) works and it’s free. So why not do yourself a favor and sign up for that since it’s free and gives you more rewards than a season pass does anyway? LEGO almost went bankrupt in the 2000s and sold LEGOLAND to Merlin. But, from what I’ve heard, LEGO purchased Merlin. I’ve also heard (but even less confirmed) that LEGO is trying to merge LEGOLAND with LBR stores. But that takes a lot of time.

Welcome to the similar disappointment I have down in Australia. There are no official Lego stores in Australia and New Zealand but there are Lego certified stores, I don’t understand what the deal is but they’re independent from the Lego company and have their own promotions running separately. My biggest issue is that it also means the insider points are not connected between the online Lego store and the certified Lego stores 😤 makes it harder to decide which platform I wanna grow points in
@FELLCHARONGAMES5 ай бұрын
It’s the same in Australia. All the stores are owned by another company, they have their own promotions and online store. Generally, the real Lego company has a better rewards program and promotions, oh, and free shipping over a certain amount.

Legoland when it was opened, was owned by lego for a while. It failed to actually turn the profit they wanted it to because it was located in Carlsbad CA instead of Los Angles. So they sold the land and attractions to some firm but made them license the IP. In turn Lego cut their overhead and the company keeps what profits they make. I honestly blame the LA City Council for this because they wanted more Malls vs another theme park more exlusive side of LA.
