The fact that some Christians are getting so worked up, when the whole message is about feeling excluded from the church in the first place. Not ALL Christianity and churches exclude LGBTQIA+ people, but so many young people STILL feel pressure to stay in the closet and try to convince themselves they are “normal.” That whole mentality is so toxic in the first place, and it’s a very powerful thing to reclaim the thing that hurt you in the first place.

True, but real issue of LGBTQIA+ in Christianity is not the religion and church, but the people on that religion... I'm a Catholic and a gay man, do you know how many people tell me that I'm an abomination and I'm gonna burn in hell for my "chosen lifestyle"... It gets to me to the point that I just one day don't go to my local church especially on Sunday, not because I have hated God or the religion but just to avoid to encounter those judgemental people on that place.. I still go to that church, but during the time where not many people go or I just go on the other church on the next town..
