I just realized what the Fire Giant's weapon is for! He's holding it over his head to catch the snow, and then pour it onto the forge so that the fire stays a smoldering ember. That's the "tending" Marika was keeping the giant alive for.

Speaking as someone who actually _lives_ in tornado country, can I just say: the lighting in Farum Azula made me _deeply_ uncomfortable, because it looks _exactly_ like how things look just ahead of tornado-producing storms. Even knowing the huge cyclone in the center wasn't the biggest threat, it still added a natural layer of tension without even _doing_ anything -- that's the power good lighting can have!

1:36:55 Regarding the ring on Miquella's hand. Your right Seán, it is an old time-y tradition. The original custom of ring exchanging for marriage used to be different. A ring on the left ring finger means the person is married, while one on the right means they are merely engaged. During the ceremony they would move the rings from right hand to left, much like moving the tassel on a graduation cap. Though, given the state he's currently in, I don't see him saying his "I do's" any time soon.

My favourite translation for what the Berserker Armour does is that it "allows the user to fight until the last drop of blood", it's so edgy and badass I can't get enough of it, it lets you know this isn't your typical power up, it'll give you the strength you need to win a fight but that's all it can do, it doesn't actually take away your ability to feel pain Guts even says himself, it's just you don't care that you're feeling pain, at one point Guts' leg gets twisted 180° so his foot is facing backwards and the armour "fixes" it by growing spikes inside it and pinning the broken bones back into place, all the while you are loosing blood and fighting beyond your peak capabilities because your body can't use pain as the emergency break, and after using it, you're still at risk of dying because you could literally begin to bleed out in the armour and not notice how much blood you've lost until you take it off, if you've ever seen the famous Berserk panal of him sitting on a window ledge looking outwards covered in bandages, that's after he took it off, and to my understanding all those scratch marks are from where the armour spiked him

The flame of the fire giants is also called the flame of the fell god. It is a way an elder god of fire controls the lands between just like the erdtree to the greater will. Marika can’t kill the fell god and as long as that god lives that fire will burn. So she gets the last fire giant to guard it forever, that’s what it means by “tending” he’s keeping it low and keeping anyone from getting too close. She also banishes the tarnished which was the army she sent to kill the giants, forbids anyone from going to the mountain tops, and hides the medallion to the lift of rold. So if you wanna get there you have to find the secret medallion, sneak past the guards on the lift, make your way through the mountains without dying cause the only people who have been there are banished, then if you somehow do all that you still have to fight a giant

22:38 The description clearly stated the fire would never go out. My guess is Marika originally cursed the giant to tend to the flame to keep it under control. Without someone keeping an eye on it, it might spread? Not sure. 29:00 Yeah, bleed is busted in this game, so your dex scaling compared to your arcane scaling isn't going to be as impressive with Rivers of Blood. Dex is nice to raise as your secondary for the build, though, for a little more offense against enemies that aren't weak to bleed. 1:07:00 All shadows are referred to as siblings/half-siblings. I don't know why. 1:46:07 Yeah, you can actually get Latenna to climb on very specific wolf enemies like that. It may be an unintentional side effect of using the same general model for these albinauric enemies, but it's still a neat detail even if so.

The eclipsed sun is the symbol of the Wandering Mausoleums where soulless demigods slumber with bells eternally ringing calling out their lost souls. Headless knights and soldiers guard the mausoleum. They sacrificed their life by cutting off their heads and placing them on the foot of the mausoleum so they could continue to protect the soulless demigods even in death until their revival. A ghost NPC says that the mausoleums house the remains of Marika’s neglected children which means Godwyn the Golden wasn't the only demigod that died during The Night of the Black Knives and that there are more demigods than the ones introduced to us.

Hey Jack! The reason fall damage can feel inconsistent is because the damage taken is calculated by how long you are suspended in mid air, and not by how far you fall meaning that double jumping increases your chances of taking damage.

The way you described how the cycle of death and the Erdtree works, it made me think of the Lifestream in FF7, how when something dies it gets absorbed into it then it's energy is used to give new life. I always like how games like these use the cycle of rebirth in such creative ways, both in terms of how their lore have such an impact to the stories and how the visuals give it a real "physical" presence in their world's (and they're just amazing to look at).

The Commander Niall boss fight: - Summon tanky summons (example: Greatshield bearers) as they will most likely last out the bossfight. - Focus ADDS (Enemy Reinforcements, aka mobs/lesser enemies) as nobody, not even the boss, will focus on you. Take out adds to lower enemy's overall DPS. - Parry Niall. This can almost be chained, and you can even parry wind attacks as long as it's not the jump attack. That's all. He is easy to parry (in my opinion, did him first try and only missed a few parries). Just fun to see you rek bosses I had a hard time on while you are annoyed/struggled by a boss I beat first try without context: different for all.

"Just fun to see you rek bosses I had a hard time on while you are annoyed/struggled by a boss I beat first try without context: different for all." thats true, but the fact that you said "he is easy to parry" makes me under stand why. not using shield makes him only able to dodge, so he can only hope that niall will have windows where jack can attack him. playing with and without shield removes alot of safety, and the low amount of windows in nialls boss fight makes it so much harder than having a shield and making your own.

"Mimic goes in, does nothing" Yes, summons don't typically know who to attack or when to attack if you don't have a lock on or there's an enemy behind you. I've been in these situations many times and the latter is what makes summons don't do anything or even attack what's behind you so you get fucked over by what's in front. My advice? Don't leg it. At least not when you're near a boss room.

Tip for people who have yet to encounter maliketh, once you go up the stairs from beside the great bridge, turn left and run all the way to the ladder down. Then you encounter the invader bernhal who drops an item called the blasphemous claw, this allows you to parry maliketh but ONLY when his sword starts glowing gold after the somersaults. Time perfectly and he’ll be stunned, allowing you to get free hits in.

(Skip to bottom for short answer) 1:04:01 I know a bit of Norse lore. From what I understand, undying beings in Norse lore(undying, meaning they can be killed but don’t stay dead) dissolve into the mist of Gannugagap(the great void where the world tree resides between the realm of fire and the realm of ice), and are soon reborn as they were when they died. Not quite the same thing as what’s happening here, but close. Hope this helps! TLDR: Undying beings dissolve into mist when killed and come back the exact same in Norse lore.

The fucked up thing about Mohg's and Miquella's "Relationship" is that: Mohg stole Miquella while he is still in the process of "metamorphosis", the reason why is that he wanted to resist the Greater Will and the Golden Order because they don't hold the cure for Melania's Scarlet Rot that was, I believe, inflicted by another Outer God known as "The Rot God". However, he needs to get stronger to do so, hence the metamorphosis. Back to Mohg and Miquella is that... While Mohg IS related to each other, being half brothers to each other. Miquella also has a curse of eternal youth, to look forever young while still being able to grow mentally. Which means, while Miquella is an adult in mind, Miquella is a child in body. So Mohg is literally taking his half-brother who is technically a child as his spouse. Yeah...

A really nice subtle thing with the twin armour is if you’re holding a two handed weapon that goes on the shoulder you hold it higher so it doesn’t clip into the armour
