@2:27:12 what do you need the pearl for? you only need gold to make surge batteries for the signal booster - and you already have more than enough surge batteries. Also,... you gathered waaaay too much di-hydrogen, you only need 90!!. On the starter planet, those big "starfish" tubular rocks give a LOT oof pure ferrite. Also, only repair 3 ship and 3 MT slots, you can use the repair kits from freighter if you really want to fix the other slots - that will save on resources (less mag ferrite needed for a start) I can't see anyone breaking your record but lets be more efficient eh? :)

and you forgot you can melee boost on derelict freighters.

Starfish rocks: could u post a picture of them in my discord? -I need them repaired BEFORE the space station. But if I do the freighter and THEN the SS... hmmm. Good stuff here. Thx!

@@sonalita_ I have been learning it is not as efficient and can burn up running fuel too fast with little help.

@@ElanPaul Di-Hydrogen - yes, unless you need to make more launch fuel (which you didn't) yes, 45 (or 90) is sufficient. Same with sillicate powder. You need 45/90 plus enough to recharge terrain manipulator a couple of times - not hundreds. If you can hit the same crashed ship every time that does not need pulse engine repair, 45 will be fine. - you only need to repair 3 MT and 3 Ship slots to get the reward - the remaining slots you can repair later with repair kits - Starfish rocks: 2 visible in the background @23:29 of this video.

@@ElanPaul yeah I just tested the difference, and there's barely any on such a fast freighter. It's better on ones where you have to travel a good way across a hallway/room in a straight line but here, the times were very similar (2:45 and 2:55)

You could save a minute by not forcing the steps - just see if it completes naturally and if you're short at the end, you can make up. The reward is not needed so it won't hurt to delay it.

Next comment (complaint😉) when using signal booster, after you found 1st ruin. and you set the booster down for the second ruin, before taking off scan for the ship and transmitter too. That way if thd ship and transmtter is closer you could go there first and not have to back. Maybe save a minute?

@MisterBroat I actually mention that at one point as a "should I?" Considering the issues I have with bases everywhere as well, goes for Nutrient Processor as well

@ElanPaul one more thing. Not sure if you get something important from staring at the stars but if you didn't get it on the first planet could you wait till randeveu 5 on the airless planet? What about on the derilich frieghter out in space after landing? Would that work?

@@ElanPaul I've just tested this - it does not work from a derelict freighter. If you open your scanner, it shows the time as "N.A" and the milestone doesn't tick up. On the airless planet you would still have a day/night cycle. There is a small chance that the reward from this milestone gives something that dismantles into cadmium or something actually useful like launch thrusters/pulse/warp mods so it is definitely worth doing as early as possible.

nanites are easy so no need to go out of your way for them (refining the flesh ropes and eggs and collecting nanites from the final freighter terminal will get you enough)
