This is the perfect tutorial video, lacking the time-wasting bloat typical of many other NMS video content providers. Thank you for making it. It helped me, because I had been trying to navigate based on the coordinate reading alone, having forgotten that the HUD navigation ring has north and south markers.

Thank you for the kind comment! Glad you liked the tutorial, and thanks for mentioning the lack of bloat. I hate that stuff!!

Hi, thanks for the tutorial, but I have the following problem: I have the coordinates of a specific planet in a specific system. I have managed to fly to the specific system, but now I don't know how to find the planet. My question is: How do I use the coordinates of a planet to find it? Does anyone have an idea? The coordinates are: 0ED5:0080:089D:00AD.

What’s funny is I’m literally on top of the coordinates now and no ship in sight
@Arpeggio0075 жыл бұрын
Hey Colorsfade, Thanks for doing this so quickly after my request. Champion. I quickly realised my main issue was that I fly predominantly in third person, so the coordinates were never visible.

*If you can't see coordinates while flying:* On PC, hold down ALT and use the mouse to look around your cockpit. You may also see it while boosting.

How do you tell which direction is north? I'm on PC and I don't see anything that says north on my game or your video
@ColorsFadeGaming4 жыл бұрын
At the very top of the screen, in the center, is an arc. Small icons will appear on it, including North and South, depending on which direction you are facing.

Yup, fuck stick here explains the obvious of what coordinates are and how to use them. Never once explains how to actually display them. None of my huds have coordinates, none of my options screens have coordinates, button map has no info either. Is it a fucking 3rd party app of something?

Is there any marker you can put on a planet that you can see from the galaxy map from hundreds of light-years away?
@ColorsFadeGaming4 жыл бұрын
None that I am aware of. You can put down a beacon, but you can only see that once you are in the system. The only other way to identify a particular system is to put a base on a planet in that system. That will allow you to detect it in the teleporters.

No

Or does it work on console

It is not a mod. It should be available on the console version of the game.
