No Man's Sky Nintendo Switch Edition - Release Date and Physical Edition Announcement

Hello Games and Bandai Namco Europe today announce that the Nintendo Switch version of No Man’s Sky will be released worldwide on October 7th 2022. It will be available digitally through Nintendo’s own e-shop and physically through all good retailers. For the first time ever, a physical PlayStation 5 version will also be made available on the same day.

I'm playing it on the Switch right now, and I've been counting down the minutes for this release, and I can say the wait was so worth it!! I'm pretty amazed at how smoothly No Man's Sky runs on the Nintendo Switch! Very impressed & so happy to be able to play this game on the go! I already own this game on 3 other systems, and I can definitely say it's %100 worth buying!! Thanks for all your hard work guys!

I own a steam deck and as of right now and the game is impossible to install. It makes the UI crash and you have to hard reboot the deck.

@@keyrif7111 It probably is since that can run on even the Switch's ancient hardware (that was already dated when the handheld came out in 2017, let alone today 5 years later). It can't be Nvidia's DLSS since the hardware is way too old to support that. Anyway you can tell the imagine is upscaled from the softer look and visible shimmering all around objects. Definitely looking forward to Digital Foundry's video on this, as it definitely qualifies as an impossible port. Also curious about the framerate here and how well it can keep the action locked to 30.

So you can technically find other players by chance or try to actively seek the, i heard that there are many communities but i didnt play enough to see em. Ah yeah, its also crossplay.

I remember having a weird dream, back when they released the game in 2016, that they would make a Wii U Edition it would only be like one star system with four planets and that would be it, so it's just a weird thing to me thinking that this is on a Nintendo console 6 years later. Day1; on the fence of buying this on PS4 for years, especially because I never have the time and dedication to play games that are this timeconsuming on that system. On the Switch its different. Its a bit like with Skyrim, as if its just a game perfectly played on the Switch. Let's just hope the performance holds up.
