I do hope this means the VR mode will be improved. Like having the HUD actually be in your helmet instead of floating away from you and colliding with the world.

I hope so, too. No Man's Sky is an awesome VR experience, but I'm constantly bothered that the UI elements don't track with my camera, so I have to turn around and face a specific direction whenever I enter into any kind of dialogue menu.

yes, this is among the only thing i think is quite annoying in the current VR mode. The HUD just simply is fixed to one direction and you always have to turn around. Also sometimes you cannot grab items if you have turned around 180 degrees. That can kill you in certain situations.

@@Nobbie248 i got used to the current controls after a while, since they are basically the way you fly an airplane (i never did though) and that works very well in my opinion. I can now fly very precise and accurate even through mountains and crowded terrains. The thumbstick would work too but it would be too fliddly for me. Nevertheless, they should at least make this more configurable for different players.

I hope so too. Pc vr for this game can be a little too janky at times, like menus clipping into the environment or people. It's still great fun and I always play it in vr but it does need more polish.

IMO VR is the best gaming platform. VR gaming is the main and maybe only gaming I do. Good to see NMS embracing VR. As I've just started playing it on PCVR because it has VR mode, and have become hooked on the game.

exactly my thought! :D flying doesn't feel impossible on my side, tho. but there are definetly improvements to make to properly enjoy NMS in VR on pc... for example the terrain manipulation tool size adjustments are fiddly AF. that one should really be improved or how about the swimming in VR, i have to change my conroll settings to be able to dive in the sea...

I keep a chair behind me and an XBone controller at my feet while in VR for this reason. piloting *anything* is impossible to do effectively otherwise (OG Vive here)

Flying in VR is great if you adjust the controls. It is honestly way easier to dogfight in VR once I adjusted the controls for it.

Would love to see my character's body in first person in non-VR mode. Seeing the hand move up and down on the thrust and stuff like that. Just wee things like that make a big difference to immersion!

If this means you're also updating the PC-VR version, please ad control customization. The biggest and pretty much only thing making me not want to play with my headset is that for ship flight the controller roll controls spaceship yaw, and id really want an option to change that.

I’m so excited! I’ve loved NMS for years. However…I’m curious as to why this trailer is in 1080p when the PSVR 2 can do 4K per eye. Hoping that I’m reading too much into it and that the graphics will be better than what’s in this trailer. Part of the reason I got a PS5 was for this very scenario, but I don’t wanna play it at this quality :/ sorry to be that guy.

Even if the quest is more Powerful it doesn't mean it can run any game in vr, my 3060ti gaming rig struggles to run this game in vr, I doubt a mobile processor could.
