There's a new update that aims to fix some of these problems that cropped up. As a precaution if you play on other systems be sure to update the game on those systems as well.

Can't wait to check out NMS after I finished the PSVR2 demos in my library. Playstation should really keep pushing VR(2) and VR games, it's such a blast being inside a HD 3D game world. I think many of the haters of the PSVR2 have never even seen one irl let alone tried it out. Sure, it's not perfect, my biggest issue being that it's wired, but it's so much fun. And the screen door effect some of the haters keep whining on about is only slightly noticeable if I intentionally (!) focus my eyes on it not when I focus on the actual game. And with the lenses adjusted correctly the sweet spot is sharp in both eyes. There's so much pointless negativity online these days.

Awesome! I just played the demo of Star Wars Tales from the galaxy's edge on my Pro and had a lot of fun shooting with the blasters. It looks great. Played for around 2 hours in teleportation mode and had zero motion sickness while I can't play Kayak VR for a few minutes. Enjoy your Pro and VR2!

Is the new lighting system also present in VR? Cause in flat mode that shit looks insane. Looks like a completely different game in flat mode. Though I imagine that would be too taxing for VR.

it’s better than it was for sure, especially with how light reflects indoors - however it’s not as good as flat screen for sure

The worlds II update entirely broke my PS5 save file and now the game wont even load for me (after hundreds of hours invested). I've tried every recommended fix so far, except for buying the game on Steam, and cross-saving...

I tried the update today and went to an old base and the water was just completely broken flickering on and off I had to remove the headset it was awful. This was on a base ps5.

A couple weeks ago I had it literally tank to single digit FPS while I was trying to land. Never experienced anything like that in VR, it was headache inducing. Also I’d like to see analogs to fly the ship, motion controls feel highly inaccurate for flying or driving.

So first off, being in deep water was a bad idea that everyone is wrong about, I get the graphical improvements but I’m not here to die if a heart attack. Now that said I noticed you didn’t mention the base building Issues where you can’t build anything in VR now that doesn’t have a default snap point. So it’s kinda fucked there too. Also the gas giants were a worse idea than deep water because there’s no way in hell to approach a planet in a storm on VR, you can’t see to avoid crashing. Again not here to die if a heart attack due to the game. I am actually on PSVR2 as well just fyi.

I wish they would just do a full wipe so all planets are at same standard tbh. Yeah so you will need to rebuild a base but I feel the trade off is worth it - the game seems to be getting a bit fragmented at this point.

The problem is that, there are many "memorial" builds in the existing universe. Wiping those would not be popular.

I love NMS but if it's not broken, don't fix it. NMS has suffered on flat screen too, again. The PS5 is not as sharp anymore. After an update few years ago, the PS4 had to be downgraded because of running issues.

I’ll be honest, I hope that the resolution issue is only higher on the pro for this patch so that we know the game is not being held back by the 2020 tech in original PS5. Users that shelled out for a Pro are entitled to having a better experience

Tried to find out if anyone else was having flickering textures with the new Worlds 2. In psvr2. Mostly with going into water or with rain. Looks like its not just me. Hopefully they patch it. When it wprks it looks amazing. Not so much when its broken 🫢
