My hopes for the future as a space-game enthusiast: -Larger flyable ships (can walk around inside) -updated flight model so you can actually crash -stars moved outside of the skybox and into the playable space. And later having planets orbit the star. -Dangerous celestial bodies (quasars, neutron stars,super massive black holes, etc..) -New kinds of planets(ice planets, water worlds, sand worlds, lava worlds orbiting too close to the star, gas giants) -larger settlements. -war -upgradable warp engine allowing lateral movement to specific galaxies. -actually letting the player visit and explore the galactic center. -co-op -story missions -flyable freighters -upgradable freighters

I feel like most of the options you mentioned were said because you thought they were cool and not actually thinking about the implications of the game. 1.) You can own frieghters, though not technically flyable. You can design and recruit to the freighter. 2.) You can crash land, it literally said it in the trailer. 3.) Stars in box? So what you mean is: You want the entire map to be generated so you can... what? take 8 years to fly to a star without warp drive? Orbiting planets would be useful though. 4.) Black holes are already there, and that's really the only one worth having for gameplay purposes. 5.) New planets are always welcome, but gas giants would serve only as an asthetic as you can't land anywhere. unless their were floating cities, but that kind of defeats the purpose of exploring planets. Could be a neat idea though, maybe local spacestations will be gas giants rather than sitting in empty space. Could be fun. 6.) War would be nice 7.) Meh, galactic travel isn't necessary. The game is massive enough. But I won't say no to it. 8.) Co-op is tricky, you can't just let people travel to anywhere because their friends are there. It would have to be its own mode. You also can't force players to wait for somene else to log on because they started a "coop" save, so it would definitely need to be well thought out. 9.) Freighters are not flyable, and as of yet they don't really need to be, the ship itself is not upgradable true, but it can be altered to facilitate multiple needs. 10.) Missions would be nice, though its a delicate procedure, the game has a huge emphasis on exploring the universe, and being a story that you make. To include missions might hinder these two fundamental gameplay elements. Remember, this game is more about survival than an RPG. I'd simply ask for more diverse wildlife, better survival mechanics, and pets.

Had a play around with this update on creative mode.. It's good. Having vehicles to explore the planets is much more fun than slowly walking around. Here's a list of updates I want for the 1.3 update, that would get me, and many others, to play this game properly again. - Let me summon vehicles on any planet. Walking is slow and boring, and I don't want to have to make a planet my home planet, just to drive around. Just make it so you can take your main exocraft with you to any planet you explore. Driving the hover bike things is a lot of fun, and I'm more likely to explore planets if I can use it all the time. You could have them use fuel like the ship, if you really wanna play up the survival aspect. Also let me customise my exocrafts.. like, let me chose the colour at least.. - Let me have multiple bases. I would like to build multiple bases on different planets, and on the same planet. Every planet I go to, I immediately make it my home planet, just so I can drive around. I have no reason to build a decent base, if it's gunna get lost as soon as I find another planet. If there's only say.. 2,000 people still playing this game, then nobody is gunna find my base, because it's constantly moving, and I'm not gunna find anybody else's base in a galaxy of 18 quintillion planets.. If I can build 100 bases, then I'd make every one of them worthy of finding, and people would have more chance of stumbling across one.. - Missions. The most fun I've had in No Man's Sky, was doing the missions for upgrades, and blueprints, but once I had the upgrades, I had nothing else to grind towards. Give me some missions! Maybe I could bump into an alien on a Spacestation or Freighter, that is willing to pay me valuable resources to find an item, or there's a bounty on some alien's head on one of the planets, and I have to go track him down to get my reward. If you put factions into the game (Like a Rebellion and an Empire) then I could side with one, and do missions for them. - Give me a goal. When I get to the centre of the Galaxy.. I go to a new galaxy and have to start again.. That is the MAIN flaw with No Man's Sky.. I'm grinding towards nothing.. I'm grinding towards having my stuff taken away from me, so I can start again.. I don't feel like I have a attainable, or worth while goal to grind for.. Everything I buy, or upgrade, just aids the grind. When the 1.1 update launched, I spent hours farming Lube so I could buy a freighter.. Once I owned a freighter, I realised it was just a tool to help me grind, but for what? I had no reason to keep playing, because my goal was just to own something that aided me to complete another goal that's a waste of time. I don't want to spend hours grinding to get a buggy, when all the buggy does is help me grind.. because when I get a buggy, what do I still have to grind for? To get to the centre of the Galaxy so I can have all my stuff taken from me? Do you see me problem? I hope the 1.3 update gives me some goals in the game, something to accomplish.. I want to build a buggy to help me accomplish my goal, I don't want building the buggy to BE my goal, because once I have it, I have nothing to use it for, so it was all a big waste of time. Put something COOL at the centre of the Galaxy, something worthwhile, something I can work towards, so when I get there, I don't feel like I just wasted several hours of my life. I play this game for a few hours every update.. Give me a goal worth accomplishing, and I'll never put it down again. Much love, A big nerdy fan of your game X

Just doing what the game has to offer with multiple ppl would make a huge difference because it brings in a dynamic no game can have i feel. They are adding more vehicle allowing for races (they even add race tracks), you can do nice battles in space maybe even with groups fighting. Simple stuff like "look there are 20 animals, let´s see who hunts down more" stuff like that (yeah the last one is a bit cruel but well~) can only happen with multiple ppl.

Nanalen Nanalen Well those are amazing RPG's, but I wouldn't call them spectacular open worlds. Maybe witcher 3 has a lively open world with bustlinf NPC's, any open world is better than GTA, gta is more of a sandbox than an open world. Horizon... well you got me there. RDR 2 isn't out yet but if it's anything like part 1 then it's again, more of a sandbox than an open world, though I do like RDR's characters.

I truly and honestly believe that the NMS guys didn't lie in purpouse. Sean may have a lying problem, or perhaps Sony pressured them into hyping the game up. But they seemed honestly in love with their project, and their silence was heartbreaking. But now I do believe that they are seeking to accomplish everything that they promised and more. Interesting worlds? Accomplished in 1.1. Big ships? Accomplished in 1.1 as well. Big battles? Yes, yes, 1.1. Now this update adds more of a sense of multiplayer, indeed a step forward, and vehicles, which we weren't ever promised at all. Also, weed. The new update adds weed.

4 days ago I left a comment saying we all want to be able to take our Exocrafts with us to any planet. Today I log on to my PS4 to find the 1.22 update gives us exactly that! Thank you! For multiplayer... You should create a certain solar system that only requires 1 warp drive (or none) to get to... it would be a place for players to interact, and there can be a main planet in the center where people can build bases and create city's by buying property... there can be different shops with ores, weapons, vehicles, and ships for sale... there would be a ton of people per server, and the outer planets would be where you can have races, find materials, and hang out with friends would be

Good job hello games keep it up and no Man's Sky will be great But there's still a long way to go I'm just going to name a ton of things you could add if you think it makes sense: General: -Side quests given by aliens either in your faction or random ones. This will give the game a little more to do rather than just aiming for your main mission. -Radiation / Heat / Cold have different effects on player when thier protection meter is down (too long in cold slows player to a halt and they go in a coma, radiation eats at the life support and health until your dead) depending on how much their is the faster the effects will go in effect -More variety to NPC interaction. It's really repetitive to see the exact same dialogue from different npcs -Much much more variants for puzzles on number patterns inside abandoned buildings and transmission towers. Planets: -More variations to make the planets less similar while getting to the center (such as mushroom, magma, tropical biomes) -Little civilizations/towns with traders and quest givers to make the game have more content and be more enjoyable -More species of animals to once again see a difference while exploring -Caves/ravines/craters and maybe with their own biomes (Lava cave, Jungle cave, dessert ect) Random alien wanderers/traders from time to time that trade or act as a small shop so we don't get stranded on planets with no resources -artifacts that can be examined at your base with a machine ( give blueprints, map locations ect) Underwater: -Coloured water depending on planet to give variations -underwater bases/submarines that can be ruined or operational -underwater creatures to give the sea a more lively place -Small touches underwater such as reefs random sized fish Galaxy Map: -Randomly spawning black holes preventing travel to solar systems around it (or maybe as a use of transportation through the galaxy) -Small bosses on the path to Atlas or to the center of the earth ranging from Fleets of ships to a giant space worm that glides itself around -Random events such as alien invasions that can give awards or as a warning to flee Space: -Distinguishable space station interiors for each alien faction -More variants of races to give more variants to the galaxy - Random cargo boxes drifting in space that give loot. like when you die in space and fly to get the loot from your inventory -Faster paced ship battles to make it more intense and space like Random: -Stuff promised in the trailers NPCs move around a little instead of being in one place (could set a radius an npc will walk from its spawn point so it won't leave areas) Anyone want to add or mention anything else?

To anyone trying to defend hello games. Stop, you're fighting a losing battle. Hello Games doesn't want forgiveness, they don't want your approval. They want to make their game great, like they dreamed it to be. That's all that matters to them, and if you're a gamer that really appreciates games, then you'll want the same too. No one cares about "the lies" seriously, anyone who still complains about that, is a self entitled moron that thinks the world owes them a favor for being so horrible. Hello Games, had a terrible start, but they're clearly not finished here. If anything is to be said, is that they're commitment to their game is bigger than anything I've seen, with such a small dev team, they really have some gifted workers out there. I really hope for the best out of these guys, I know they have what it takes! But the fan base has to show their support, Between them and us, we can make this game amazing!

I was surprised when they drop the 1.1 update, Foundation update. I thought they will not make a big update to the game and only do some minor tweaking fixing bug/glitch. And then they drop 1.2 update... in all of this are FREE! and the game even on steam summer sale too!! In all honesty both NMS's Devs and Gamers are to blame, Gamers for over-hyping this game and NMS's Devs for giving false hope. Which in turn make the game more hyped, which in turn make NMS's Devs not denying the false hope, and the snowball continues to roll..... and BAM on launch all hells break loose. I'm just hoping they will implement multiplayer soon, because it was one of the biggest flaw of this game, maybe perhaps THE biggest flaw of the game. For now atleast, NMS Developers has regain my respect. They're all really good people, seriously.
