(Edit: Turns out I was wrong sadly, it's called Cursed and it's expedition based, I think it comes with its own share of new content too so no big deal, but still kinda sad I didn't predicted it, oh well) Small theory: the update could be called "REDACTED", maybe i am looking too much into it but, what if instead of the emoji representing a word as in a swear word is meant to look like someone getting... Censored? Maybe the update will focus on censored or redacted pieces of lore or redacted/censored/removed things that used to exist within the universe, kinda like the Autophages that are "censored" and "hidden" from the eyes of the wider universe. Maybe someone is hiding something from us (it wouldn't be the first time).

Just yesterday I finished my run of all existing expeditions again with the use of Leodium's Relive files on github, and your videos accompanied me on this journey! It was a blast, especially enjoyed all the lore deep dives and laughed my ass off especially during the aquarius expedition stream, really like the fact that you can be humorous and entertaining without even trying c: Hopefully you are doing well in real life, and I'm happy to say that you are the first person on this platform in my two decades of using youtube to join as a member! Your videos, content, attitude, effort and personality.. I dare say it was crucial to my enjoyment of No Man's Sky. Not a day one player as much as I'd prefer, but had the game since 2018.. and its not that it wasn't intriguing enough for me, but simply had too much investment and responsibilities to fully delve deep into it. And like I said, I dont think I might have enjoyed the game to the fullest without your channel! I had a tough time starting out, but like I said a dozen times already, your channel was simply PERFECT in the most suitable way.. I wanted to go in blindly to enjoy everything to the fullest, but also not be frustrated to the point of quitting.. wanted to learn more about the game, in a manner that doesn't spoil the fun for me - you were always considerate in this regard and I could learn and listen without the spark of joy ever vanishing before my eyes. Started a main save at the beginning of september and after 248 hours, still cant put it down.. also happy belated birthday again lmao I can't seem to shut up but I want to finish this comment off with my theory of the upcoming update.. what if its actually 𝔀𝓸𝓻𝓵𝓭𝓼 𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓽 2? You know, because its CURSE-ive.. D: I'll show myself out lmao

So, They silently removed the "coming later this summer" for Part 2's announcement in one of the Part 1 patches, which means they believed the update was almost ready to roll out. But then Aquarius happened and Sean said one piece of fanart stopped them in their tracks and they basically took a short detour to get that small update and expedition out instead, and I'm guessing the fishing mechanic was repurposed from Light No Fire. Sean is already announcing a new update just before the current expedition is ending, so I HOPE it's actually Part 2. And I hope a lot of the stuff that was datamined makes it into the game, specifically the purple systems.

Things that will make the game a lot more fun. 1.) adding armor we can buy with units or nanites and hierarchy in armors(cheap>wealthy>billionaire) 2.) skill attributes and levels required for certain skills to where certain armor. 3.) more depth to starship customization(window tint,sound system for beats that can be heard exterior, landing gear customization options etc.) These are just at the top of my head ideas that would improve the game dramatically

I definitely loved this new update, it was my first time playing and finishing an expedition and I did it twice! I decided to keep the first guy I played with as my new main character and started a whole fish collection in a storage container.

A few months ago, while playing NMS, I was wondering what one of the Autophage were saying with their binary speak. It translated to "She is here!". So, I now wonder if the red emoji is simply something to do with the Red Queen and some more story. Hope it's more combat. I actually want to fight something that shoots back, like pirates or an actual honor system and geks or whatever will actually attack you and you'll really need forged passports to land on hostile stations and it doesn't just reset your honor cause why would it do that for you it should just temporarily disguise your identity while on that station

Took me about 3 hours to get this expedition done. If youre like me and saved it until today then heres my tip (spoilers ahead): focus on catching the different types planets. You can knock out diurnal and nocturnal fish on the first radioactive planet. Use bait and dont release. You gotta sell 500k worth of fish, i got lucky with 2 legendary fish when i got to that point but its not hard to reach that point buf every bit helps. Farm a fuck ton of ferrit dust. You need a lot. Perform a black magic ritual for luck in everything you need cause its all rng

I'd guess its a rework to the learning the languages system because going from space station to station or driving around aimlessly for knowledge stones is soul sucking dull gameplay. its way way faster to learn autophage language they added because their quests are easy and award several words,
