I don't think LNF will be as complete as NmS right now, but sure will be updated like nms every few months with new content. I just want better exploration in general for both games, I love nms but his exploration for me is focused on find cool places and landscapes, but nothing more. Problem is, Starfield is Action RPG set in space. It scratches itches that NMS don't. Yes Starfield could be better but if I want cool quests with more complex characters/npcs, dialogues and etc, NMS is not the way to go. Quests in NMS are simple, enemies are simple and stationary.... it never feels something is really at stake. I love NMS, but unfortunately Starfield is the only recent decent Action RPG set in space there is. They tried to give players more freedom to explore lots of planets but it harmed them, because people found planets with not much to do because they were expecting to find content that felt handcrafted in hundreds of planets. That's simply not possible now. Maybe with AI in the future. The game people expected from Starfield is not possible atm. Not at the scale of hundreds of planets/moons, at least.

One thing I love about NMS is the varied approach that players can take. Space battles, or battling the robots on planets, for those who like that sort of thing. Exploration, for those who want to scan and see as much as they can. Crafting and base-building for folks who want to unleash their inner creative. Trade, if one likes to run supplies between systems. Armor upgrades, ship customization, pets, and so on. I've played this game in just about the most casual way possible, strolling across an entire planet and gathering resources while scanning creatures and looting abandoned structures. By contrast, I've also engaged in battles with pirates and Sentinels. I've spent hours upon hours hunting the modules to tailor my ship, exosuit, and multitool to my playstyle. And there's still a bunch I haven't done. The game is outstanding. TLDR: There's a lot to do and I recommend buying it just to try it out. Worst case, you support a dev that cares about their playerbase.

Sean Murray. At first we were angry, but then you showed us how to do many things that were thought to be impossible, as well as being the man who put his name in the gaming world not in gold, not in platinum, but in diamond letters. Instead of making a 1-2-3 series, he kept the single game No Man's Sky as the best space simulation by constantly updating it. This is very clever because Sean is cultivating his game for the future, not for those of us who already own the game, but for the new players who are always coming behind. Please feel free to add an option to increase the draw distance for pc users. Those of us with good systems can create material for the internet with much more beautiful images. Just those 3 updates are enough. Three for free? For me, it's the Sentinel Starships. The best kind of starship. I even ask for extra pugneum packets and the staff at the space station is so friendly and more than willing to oblige. One time I asked for more pugneum packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly Korvex laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!". Now the whole Korvex species greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three pugneum packets.

What a breath of fresh air in a world corrupted by marketing and greed to such a degree that computer games are no longer about fun, but about coercing as much money from customers as possible. Bravo Hello games, we all thank you for what you add to humanity.

I’m so impressed with this update. The last few have been really incredible, but this one had higher expectations because of this “part 2” aspect. But they really pulled through. Deep oceans with new immersive lighting will be so cool to explore in a submarine. And I truly cannot wait to explore the gas giants in a mech. Amazing work as always!

These uodates has made it feel like No Mans Sky 2. Whats insane, you can play this game how ever you want. You can just ge a space pirate and steal everything. You can do mission and main missions. You can just be an explorer documenting life and selling what you find. You can own stettlements and look after them. You can base build and build cities and towns, under ground, sea, above ground. Or become a bounty hunter and build a squadron

I love that Sean Murray is still rocking a hoodie in his videos. Dude loves making cool shit and doesn't care about the superficial bs that devs usually let ruin an otherwise good concept.

One thing id like improved is the building mechanics, plus different building pieces. I like to jump in occasionally for build mode when theres new updates. I check out some of the new stuff then i build a cool base but i find that it still feels kind of janky at times and im very limited by the building pieces. Id love to be able to make more varied bases and for it to not feel so janky - mainly when you're trying to connect thing or place items in certain spots and it just wont let you or the controls get overly sensitive. Controls-wise, just having it more snappy would be great. It can be a bit glitchy too as i built an underwater base that connects to a large room above water, and the water didnt know how to react. I found my above water section hasmd no visible water but every time i entered it, it did a big splash and had underwater controls and audio. The visuals became odd too like the water level was changing and disappearing when looking out. I hope some of the devs maybe see this or others who have experienced similar issues agree and we can spread it to them as i like having the generous free updates but i also find myself not coming back as it doesnt feel totally robust and building in games is my favourite thing to do.

It's gone from the biggest dissapoinmet to one of my most loved and longest played games since ff7 back on ps1. You guys have shown the industry how to go above and beyond. Ubisoft, EA, take note because this is how consumers should be treated and thank you all at hello games for giving us such an amazing game. You deserve all the praise and well wishes from all of us who fell in love with your universe and I can't wait to spend hundreds more hours in this fantastic game. Thank you all. I haven't pre-ordered games in many years but now with Light No Fire coming I definitely will love to support Hello Games with a pre-order. Does anyone have an educated guess when Light No Fire will be coming out?
