I like that when you give your children lots of love. They definitely need that.

Thank you for the honesty. My son acts like one of your sons. Leg bouncing then folds over into crying and moan. Only happens in big loud crowds. Like a football game for high school. We parents have to share our experiences to help others parents. ❤

I think your meltdown videos are very helpful. I think you are both amazing parents and it shows how family and friends can help their autistic loved ones.

I love how you are showing that love is how you stupor your child during meltdown. It's the only way because when in meltdown it's an extremely intense feeling of fear and distress. It nearly made me cry watching your wife just hold him and sooth him. Also the hugging this way and rocking help with regulation and prevent him hitting out. Its an important thing your doing because many families are struggling with understanding how best to support their kids ❤️.

I'm glad your children were diagnosed early, where you understand their meltdowns and stimming, cause I was just called a brat. No one understood me, and when I got diagnosed, my mum was still in denyal.

First off, THANK YOU! I am a New I.S.P. in an elementary school. A coworker suggested that I look up "melt down" videos because I work with children on the spectrum and I Wanted to Learn, How best to handle the situation, if/when it ever happens. There may be "nay sayers" but you also have "cheerleaders"!! Thank You for the Helpful information. 👍

I feel like having videos available that shows these meltdowns can help other patents identify what is going on with their own kids.. I dunno. Anyone who can't understand that, are probably viewing negatively themselves.

Your videos have been helpful for me and my family. It's unfortunate that a small percent of troll-like commentary has made you have to basically cater your videos to those people only. Over explaining and apologizing for every little thing. You guys are great parents and you need some credit for that. My son has been melting down in public and running into traffic, I came here to see what ways others have dealt with these situations.

I only just been diagnosed with autism at 48yrs old. I appreciate all your videos, and your children have helped me understand my own childhood more. But saying this, protecting your children is the most important thing for any parent. You need to always put them first, before anything else!

Hey bro dad 2/3 of my kids have aspergers know what you are going through. Ignore those haters as they are probably people who does not have kids with autism and do not understand what it is. They see it as kids being naughty. Keep doing what you are doing. You are doing a great job

I found this idea on Pinterest and it’s about creating a calming corner the person who is having the meltdown, they can easily go straight to that corner and calm down in it. Also in the idea, it said you can put posters on the wall like feelings and emotions posters and calming strategies. You could probably get a basket and put items in it that you think would help calm your children down when they go to the calm down corner and I have a few suggestions of what you could put in the basket.they are: headphones, a weighted blanket, stress balls, a 10 inch LCD drawing tablet, a glitter wand and a DIY sensory bottle. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing this because I can sometimes have a tantrum when I don’t get my own way and I’m autistic and adhd

im on medication too. im actually greatful. because when i dont take it my brain is like: "FINALLY. no supervision. lets do some things that will get this boy into trouble **chuckles evily** " so it affects my attitude. and when i dont take it i feel more energy. its good that i take my Adderall, Risperidone, and Sertraline. or else i would be grounded right now and i wouldnt be commenting on this video. so yeah. now my brain is like: "well i feel like im filled with controllableness. i can do this **accidentally presses wrong button causing me to get into trouble** woops. still working out all the kinks. heh heh."

Hi ! My eight year old daughter has “light”autism… we haven’t talked about it. When do you recommend letting her know and how would you suggest we tell her ? Your videos have been a huge comfort for me , knowing we’re not alone going through this … her autism looks a lot like Connors .

I'm here looking for help, tips and advice with meltdowns. And for understanding. This is my first rodeo. Female, age 6, diagnosed at 2.5... mild asd, adhd, medicated for school, frequent evening meltdowns with the medication comedown.

You need to have public schools watch your videos. Our daughter ( we adopted our granddaughter) is blind and autistic has had horrible experiences at public schools. She had a lot of melt downs. She was put on meds and also is in a school that is just for autistic children. She hasn't had a melt down in 1.5 years.

The word you are looking for isn't evil it is ignorant. Society sucks to begin with man 😇. I understand why you don't post meltdown videos anymore and I only have 1 request for you. Please continue to record the meltdowns not for youtube though, I want you to record them and have your children watch them so they can come up with things they could have done diffrently. I'm autistic man for me I have to be able to analyze what I could have done diffrently after the fact and remember to try it that way the next time 🤓 It is just a idea for you if you haven't tried it yet. 😇
