I still don't get it and don't like it. Why do we stack resists anyway? How does it help? Can I be cold for longer or what? To be honest, in PvE it killed any interest for exploration for me, too much of a distraction. I die in the middle of the fight constantly in cold places no matter how much ressistance i got and i maxed out every piece of gear.

The resistance increases the range in which you are "cozy" which is where you won't freeze or overheat. If you get bear skin or seal skin on both your chest and legs for crafting most phase 1 areas shouldn't be a problem. You can keep a cold resist food like the salted spikemato available in your inventory to use in an emergency. If you get into the cold range you have 1min 30 seconds before hypothermia reaches its third stage and that's when it's all over

@@DovazX Thanks, I still don't get it :P What does it meanrange of cozy? If there is -5 and i'm in the cozy state and i'm freezing in -10, does it mean that with more resistance I will be cozy in -10? So what are the ranges? I do not see any difference between having 10 cold ressist and 0 cold ressist, same minus degrees seem to get me freezing Oo.

Yes if your freezing in -10 but not -5 your resistance is cozy within -5 to say +20. In game you can go into your inventory. And then there is a temperature gauge above the person symbol in the bottom right. If you hover over that. It will show you based on your current resistances what your ranges are. Cozy is where you have no negative effects. You can increase the range with gear using hides, foods, and some items
