The body would be great if you did a short roll cage, something similar to the honcho. But probably a little too big for a trophy truck on that specific chassis, then again it could be sweet!

Love the Real Year of No Lexan and your Incredible Commitment to it. Ford body is just right. We are all used to tires sticking out for crawlers so when one actually fits we think it's too big. Mount it up and put a big, I mean big flat bed on it. Like the song where she picks him up.

Before setting the Ford body aside, search the images for the '80s short bed versions. I always thought they had more rear overhang on the bed than other manufacturer's offerings. Ford prerunners were far more prevalent due to the beam suspension, anyway.

That body does look a little big for that build. Proline makes a fender flare kit that would probably look good on a boxy body like that.

I think a Tamiya midnight pumpkin body will work on that truck, it's 1/12 scale. It's a hard body as well. Yes the body you have is too big.

Most trophy trucks have extremely flared fenders for that tuck you want. The fenders of that body are where you wanna be the rest just needs to be sucked in 🙌 can’t wait to see this one 🎉

Yeah... been setting up a Beams on a SCX V1 and an open diff is totally necessary if you're driving on anything but sand. With a rear swaybar drive if just fine and predictable.

Love your I Beam build! I think you should better lengthen the rear end to 390mm to fit to the long bed Ford XLT you printed. Also this will look more natural like a Old School Baja Truck with long wheelbase!

I’m with ya buddy. I haven’t touched lexan in about 2 years. I do have a vaterra K5 that has been on my shelf for a while now, but I have 6 other projects that will keep me busy for a while yet. I would love to see a nice aluminum can drift or crawler body. I have faith that you are able to do it.

If you did the VFD twin stubby mounted backwards in the chassis, the OD/UD shift mechanism would make it act like a 2 speed transmission on the beams truck. Basically a low range/high range, with locking diff, would be awesome!

Thats a true 1/10th scale body for a ford fullsize truck a true 1/10th single cab long bed has like a 19 inch wheelbase i started making a 97 crewcab long bed a few years ago out of wood and ended up giving it to a buddy cause i dodnt have the tooling needed and the body length was 27ish inches long

I build a ttb rc jeep long before it was cool, so 4x4 beams long before you.... :) Just strech the frame to make wheelbase match the body

The X1 Carbon has a filter system and is enclosed, so there's not much odour or fumes. I still keep it in a closed room, for the sake of my health, just in case.

first off, your videos are calming and just amazing. What print speed, specifically outer wall, are you using on that x1 to maintain that quality of thin wall print? I'm seriously considering changing out my fleet but all I see them bragging about is acceleration. lot of opinions out there but I truly trust yours

I don’t mess with the settings very often, if at all. Outer Wall speed is 60mm/s, inner is at 300mm/s. As for Canadian friendliness, your paranoia is correct... we started with taking over Hollywood... one step at a time! 😂
