I worked the last four years for Burns & Roe Services in GTMO operating boilers & turbines. 1986 defence budget slashed Burns & Roe out and Kellog Engineering brought in Indians to operate at $1.50 a hour , everything went downhill from there with budget cuts , big water system fails after. Hi Tim , I like all of your videos. But the ones that bring you to Port Jefferson Harbor bring back fond memories of my youth. We waterskied back in Strongs neck and jumped the wake of the Port Jeff Bridgeport ferry with my 12 ft row boat with a whopping 10 hp outboard. This was back in the late sixtes and early 70s. I was there in 1972 when the oil barge broke in half and sank at the dock by the LILCO stacks. That was some big event for locals that lived there at the time. Keep safe and see you on the one⛵

Tim, love the channel and all your work no matter what water you happen to be on. Having lived in the Virgin Islands for 10 years, I loved seeing a lot of my old stomping, (swimming) grounds, but I like the NY work as I live up here now. Thanks again.
