I bought such a bar for myself Core Sensor 3 Pro. At first I liked everything, but after a few rides the PowerLine sling was frayed. Where the center lines are attached with iron rings. And this is very Dangerous! Since with a sharp load, it can simply pull out the power lines! After a while, I decided to measure the length of the lines, and it turned out that the power lines were extended by 8 cm. This is the most expensive bar on the market, but the quality does not match the price. The slings are declared as the best, but in fact they do not differ from other cheaper manufacturers. When purchasing this Bar, be prepared for such surprises.

Thanks for you feedback on your experience. I'm not sure I experienced the fraying of the powerline sling but I can share my experiences and feedback I've heard from a pro athlete rider. Basically he said that it doesnt matter how much kite lines are pre-stretched or how good of quality they are, they will always stretch. This is due to heat, sand and your constant load you're placing on the centre lines compared with the steering (outside) lines. I noticed this on my Reedin Dreamstick. When I pulled steering lines out of the floats there were actually pre-determined knots for extension which is in anticipation (I believe) for this phenomenon to occur. If I think about it logically rope line will stretch if a huge load is placed on it session after session compared with steering lines that basically have zero load on them as they are just steering a canopy of canvas in the sky. Anyway that is my 5 cents on that second topic. You should be able to see on the sensor 3 if you can make the appropriate adjustments too. Let me know how you go.

@@lifeofgarrick Thanks for the answer. There are knots on the steering lines for adjustment. You can just tighten the depower a little.

So, this is my issue with Core... they are just about the most expensive bar out there and pretty much require their bar for their kites. I would love to get an XR7 but I can't justify buying their "flawless" control bar just for their kite. They would make their board required for their kites too if that was possible LOL. I understand every brand has manufacturing issues yada yada yada.... Do you have any experience with the Duotone click bar since it has the High Y setup for their quiver? If the Duotone bar works with Core kites that may be my solution (but they probably have their own issues)... otherwise I'm sticking with my Cabrinha trimlite bar and shop the other kite brands for my business. Appreciate your honest video.

Hi Michael I can see your frustration. I did look at getting the Carved board clip in bindings for my old board but..... they have a different spacing to industry standard 😬🤣 I am now using my Dreamstick bar with my 17m XR5 and it seems to be flying fine to me. Dreamstick is a standard 4 equal line with low v. I dont have experience with the duotone clickbars but I have heard you can adapt the centre line to a high y or low v with simple adjustment . In saying all this though - I did like that new Core bar. It was just a pitty about the major fault with it and the big price tag. I am getting 2 of the New Dreamstick X bars as I have a funny feeling when a kite designer like Damien Geradin gets this excited about a product it means he i onto something good 🙌 Love the look of how much torque the new monobloc creates with auto-u nswiveling centre lines. Let me know how your buying decision goes - I'll be keen to hear what you go for and how it all works out 🙌

It's the opposite here (east coast canada). People try the high V Core bar and buy it... for their "other brand" high V kites! It's that good.

A bit awkward how this goes unnoticed in all those years of development. Nice video.

Thanks for watching the video! It is strange how it managed to get past all their R&D. However, I can imagine how difficult it is to bring a new product to market. It's easy to create one bar. But then you have to find a factory that makes plenty of those bars as efficiently and economically as possible to allow there to be profit margin and a business plus ensure quality control throughout the process. It's tough! I do feel like they could have a more pro-active approach as opposed to a re-active approach from what I'm seeing. I voiced this though to Phillip the CEO as well during our correspondence.
@ingosander70743 жыл бұрын
I'm amazed about that, too! Complete mystery to me, too! As it seems to rip so easily after only a few sessions, this MUST have become obvious during testing. Maybe they changed something briefly before mass production and thought it would make no difference. But apparrently it does ...
@ingosander70743 жыл бұрын
At first I thought it is a mistake when you wrote you talked to Philip, the CEO. For me the CEO (founder and owner) of CORE was always Bernd (Bernie) Hiss (HissTec is also his company behind the brands Core and Carved). But now I realize that management changed in 2019. And the company was sold to an "Estonian Outdoor company" ... Bernie was reported to be a difficult boss, and also a perfectionist fanatic. It would seem that they may have lost that particular spirit ...

Hey Garrick, thanks for the info! It's valuable to know. I also experienced Core to be very good and accomodating with any (of the few) claims, I had in the past. I'm wondering about this new sensor 3 bar though. I'm puzzled how this could happen to them. A buddy I know here in Germany had the same problem. They were very accommodating with him as well, but he got replacement parts from Core 3 times. They each ripped at the Y after between 3 and 7 sessions. Same thing happened only after 3 sessions with the completely new Sensor 3 he got from them as a replacement, then. After that, it's hard for me to believe that it happened only with a few exemplars and that they have found a (not even termporary) solution. Otherwise, why would it happen again with the replacements they sent him and why would they send him another exemplar of the faulty batch ... Anyway, as much as I love Core, it seems they've messed up that bar really bad and I'm not going to try a Sensor 3 any time, soon ... Stick with my 2S as well ... Wise decision, you chose the refund as well, it would seem! Go, ride, and enjoy! Ingo

Hi Ingo, thanks for watching the video and sharing your version of events. I agree it is very out of character for them - especially when multiple bars have the same issue unresolved. The 2s is a great bar, there are small niggley issues like with velcro coming off from time to time but it's just a super good bar to play around on! Enjoy your sessions when you get some! We are having summer wind droughts over here with 3 cyclones to the north of NZ taking all our wind away... 😪
@ingosander70743 жыл бұрын
@@lifeofgarrick Yeah, the velcro coming off is a bit of a nuisance, but nothing serious. Otherwise I love my sensor 2Ss (one is a regular, one is a PRO), as well. And strange weather coming up, here as well. Going to try kiting at -1 Celsius, tomorrow at the North Sea (as in the mountaints, 1.000m higher it will be too warm to snowkite ...). Hope the good winds come back to you, soon, my friend!

Hi! I am looking to buy a testbar since no-one has the pro available new. I am concerned because the retailer I am in touch with sent me photos of the bar and it has a cut on th rubber. They say it is common but this concerned me . Have you experienced this so far ? And If yes, then how long did the bar last with no issues at all ?

That’s a bummer man, I have all Core gear and appreciate the quality in it so far. I Have have the twist release sensor pro bar and will probably stick with it. Thanks for the heads up, disappointing to hear though.
@lifeofgarrick3 жыл бұрын
All good man. Thanks for watching the video. I echo what you say about the quality of build. Perhaps it has something to do with covid and the disruption in the manufacturing process of this bar. The twist release has worked perfect every time for me. The only thing I wonder about is the reliability of the high Y. Check this vid to see what I mean: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5zVgmWCesiYqpo

For the price of the bar that you pay for, it shouldn’t be easily to cause issue

I have had this issue with my sensor3. (40 sessions powered boosting 11m/8m xr 7) and Core Canada replaced the part and I did he install. No biggie. I have had Slingshot bars and a new Ozone bar ( for my Pivot) - they all have issues mostly depower. Over all I am very pleased with my kite gear given the environment and stresses to which they are subject You cannot escape from maintenance and materials issues.

You're 100% correct mate! I just didn't want to have to do this with a brand new bar. I'm glad you're enjoying the Sensor 3. I am currently riding the Dreamstick X and absolutely love it 🙌

my third replacement line from core is just starting to go too, so frustrating and annoying. every time I asked for replacement they claimed it was a better material one, but it was the same crap. the last replacement was done few months ago and ita already a dangerous to use! #corekites

Haha! I know what you mean. But I also know that there is a lot of rnd, people to pay, marketing, advertising etc. Plus they want to create a better product. Price is only going to go up.
