How many ride along videos does a person need to see? How many videos does a person need to see explaining contract violations? How many videos does one need to see explaining the latest gimmick or con program an app is promoting? Etc etc etc.

I make content because I love to edit and film and the community is so awesome love meeting and talking to new people. If people don't want to watch that's OK. I think people watch for personalities not gimmicks

You are right. I love your content because you're positive and hilarious. And you teach, and that's awesome.
But what is more important, subscribers or views, because the numbers don't seem to jive?

Honestly, I love your content!!! It’s very informational and entertaining. You the man!!!✌🏻

I don't get paid for content. The answer to your question is "Mind Control". Change your account to that and teach "How to Think". NOT "What To Think".

and including expically the subscribers button is broken i cant even subscribe to other KZbinrs anymore its because of i have maximum limited over 100 KZbin channel you cannot even subscribe to other channels whatever you wanted anymore and including that dumb dislike button is turned off and it's even more bummer that these creators makes money off of dislike 👎

I've started a new channel in a different niche and it has a ton of traction in just 7 days. There is an entire world that is on KZbin, but very few in the world are gig workers.

I watch your content pretty regularly on YT. I’m not ready to chase down a different medium to watch things on (rumble, etc). So please don’t go anywhere. BOY is a brand you are creating Pedro. For me this is a channel I go to to see someone meet me where I am. I keep coming back because you tend to have a personal growth mindset that both challenges me to think about where I am and what I’m doing with my life. Gig work these days rarely feels rewarding and sometimes watching content on it is just a reminder of that level of disappointment that is being carried around all day everyday already. Maybe that helps speak to the retention levels I think you subtly eluded to. However, you more than anyone in this space have continually motivated me to look further and think bigger. I created and published my own record keeping book for gig work that is now available on Amazon. I believed in myself enough to do that because of the motivation I got from watching your channel. No joke. I’m the only person that has ever bought a copy of the thing, but it’s still something I created and put out into the world which is useful to me and I’m proud of myself for having done it. Very long winded way of saying thanks for your content. You have reached and motivated at least one person out here.

You should be building every platform opportunity you can like multi app gig work, you need to have a Plan A, B, C and a backup plan for A-B and C.

I think what it is is being creative having content that’s meaning and not the same old thing over and over..there is a difference between someone creative versus someone making videos just to get views and get paid although the same old thing over and over said in a video. I would rather be more rare posting content and it having meaning then it being the same thing over and over changed up a bit. There are content creators out there that are more about money because this is all they do versus someone doing this part time and it not fully being about money. There are a bunch of different types of content creators out there and none are wrong in the sense because it’s their channel but you have to make sure you consistently get the attention to your videos because they have meaning that’s worth the watch.

Repetitive or not bro the real ones are gonna be here and tuning in... you've helped a lot of new and veteran dashers. And the most important part is keeping us motivated....Doordash really should be cutting a fat check to Pedro

You even encouraged ppl to start making their own videos. & No, I have still not made any driving videos. Ground Cloud Safety Trainer, training car drivers to drive delivery trucks... & really, if you know what to watch for, go slow, it is not that hard. (I should say, just watch my videos... but I have not made any, yet. & I need to change that. & NOT on my Bucket list.

I was just tagged for the "historical" nonsense and have to send a copy of my DL and/or some facial recognition nonsense to get my channel features restored. In the meantime, all my links in video descriptions are no longer live. It's happening to millions of accounts.

I just started creating content (DoorDash) in April. I've been enjoying it so far. My channel is further along than I expected. It is a lot of work! I've been spending more time editing than I have been dashing. Lol. I don't really have a plan for topics, I just get in the car and go. Whatever happens, happens, my dashcam catches a lot of random stuff. Sometimes I'll have a tip or two but basically it's just riding along with me. There are a lot of creators in the space but there's more than enough watchers out there watching. 😊
@DRIVINGTOWEALTH3 ай бұрын
I think the gig space is just washed out . How many times can you make delivery videos before it's just the same thing like everyone else
@nicholasnarcowich91633 ай бұрын
Pedro, There are a lot of New Viewers that have questions, questions you have answered 20 times in past videos, but they have not watched those past videos. I watch Scotty Kilmer for a lot of car stuff, as well as The Car Wizard, & they will often mention past videos to answer the question to save time. &, that is what we are after, save time as that is The One Thing, once it is gone... you will never see it again. Money, cars, homes, jobs, & even wives... I'm on my 2nd; enjoy the time you have with what you have... I lost my first wife after 17 years, cancer, she had bought some nice things I had never seen her in. Must have been waiting for the right time. Save your money, & when the time is right, make it The Right Time. Be happy now, with more happy in the future.

I think your an information leader. I am strictly on KZbin. I cut the cable cord around 6 years ago and never looked back. I will say ..for me…I have stopped watching some creators because they changed platforms. I think people are lazy even with the information they consume. Even to press a button to watch another platform is a hassle..for me. Plus I like the comment section👍🏼 and I like that for 17 bucks a month I have not watched a commercial since cutting the cable cord👍🏼😁💙

I spent the last month researching lighting, shopping and setting up my new studio to film my new show Rice and Beans Mondays. First ep is coming out this Monday which Im stoked for. Ill still run a gig (ride along or commenting) once a week as well because it ties in with my messaging of pick up a side hustle to increase revenue. Tbh, I hit a mini burn out on Doordash content this month and scrapped 3 video. I was sitting there in editing on one of them and was like "Why am I making a video about Doordash Laundry pick up.... I don't care about Doordash Laundry pick up" and just hit delete because I felt it was wasting my time and my viewers time. I definitely have the ups and downs with it.

Well the answer to me is you arnt really relying on these apps delivery for your gig to make money it's extra money. I hear this alot out hear. Extra money. A gig tuber is using all the delivery apps as content for the bigger picture to make tube your main squeeze
@user-rz1un2sq1y3 ай бұрын
You factor in the fact there are many other tubers doing videos on the same subjects. The potential growth and shelf life is very limited.

Instagram and Facebook would definitely help you, I know is this particular market isn’t quiet as big as say sports or something but if you’re one of the first to those platforms to really get them dialed in like here on KZbin it’ll benefit you the next 6-12 months!

Haha I stopped content for just over a year and JUST came back a week ago. For me it was just a life thing. Got married, lots going on. But i think it’s because the gig space gets very repetitive, and KZbin tends to shoehorn you in and doesn’t reward branching out once you find your niche. And if you split your time to work on something else, someone who is laser focused will swoop in and take your place. The turnover rate of these apps sorta translates to the gigtube space in that way. But I think it’s a good thing, as much as the content stays the same, there are always relevant topics and new drivers who need current advice and a thriving community

We are gigtubers definitely hard to try to keep the content interesting. We just try to listen to our viewers & what they wanna see. Been doing it for 2 years now so it’s still kinda fun in a way. KZbin in itself is such a grind its so much more than just turning on the camera. Can definitely understand the creators who are burnt out as well. Great content as always Pedro 💪🏼💪🏼

There is very limited knowledge in the gig economy. Once you do a video over every possible subject in the business. Where do you go? Do you make the same videos covering the same issues again?
@cosmicquest77463 ай бұрын
KZbin changed their algorithm again. And this change doesn't benefit the creator. Unlike before its harder to get views on here. A lot of people are just moving to tiktok
@marcelldeon3 ай бұрын
You are still relatively new to this creator space. You are just getting started! Doesn't hurt to expand to more social platforms. Keep in mind that some of these "OG" creators are getting paid to move and promote other platforms. I know 2 from the gaming community who recently slowed their YT content for a competitor simply b/c $$$ was offered.

only 0.01 percent of all content creators make it. The sad reality that a lot of people don't know is that when asked in a survey from the current youth of America the poll showed that the number one job sought after was KZbin and Content creator close second.... Also idk where this "college degrees are worthless" came from XD I'm an engineer and we are still short staffed. The money is great but since the youth wants to do KZbin... welp more food for me i guess. There is nothing wrong with chasing your dreams but if you gamble it all on that one dream you may put yourself in a bad situation further down the line if things dont go as planned.

Gig-Tuber would be someone that feels they have something to share about their life & work doing some Gig work. Could be How To, or, Woops... Don't do that, or wish I had more of these, or watch out for this... most are at least fun to watch. I personally do not see myself shopping or doing a "Catering" orders. I do not like shopping, & my wife has not liked what "Shoppers" have picked out for her. Plus, I have never done any catering to anything, no experience. Now, maybe, if times change, I could change my mind for me. Love your videos, Thank You :-)

You’ve grown a big following, essentially whatever you decide to make content about you’d get people to watch. I think you should branch out into different areas, just because you do have a lot of opinions on things. Maybe talk about hot topics in the news, give your opinions. Do that alongside your regular DoorDash content
