while I agree some people are taking complaining about it too far, the removal of the national dex goes against what pokemon stands for. It was originally intended to be a game designed for collecting all the pokemon(hence the slogan), not one about battling. Catching all the pokemon was intended to be the main appeal of the games. Making this impossible is against the spirit of pokemon. #bringbackthenationaldex

@@10tailedbijuu Yes but you could transfer them all in. And yeah, I am fully aware of the fact that pokemon was originally released in japan. And even there, the creator of the game originally came up with the idea being a monster collecting game, not a monster fighting game. Removing pokemon from pokemon would be like removing almost all the weapons from a battle royale game(picture fortnite with only shotguns, grenade launchers and snipers. while you are at it, remove all the skins except peely, the default ones, and the most popular ones, along with all the emotes except "take the L". Will it still feel like fortnite, or will it seem more like its just some gutted knockoff?) And remember, this goes far deeper than just not being able to catch them. They literally DO NOT EXIST IN THE GAME"S CODE. They cannot be transferred in, will take massive amounts of effort to create rom hacks with them, will be basically impossible to get in a randomizer unless the dude who made the randomizer software you are using went to special efforts that could cause glitches if the wrong bits of code were messed with to add them, etc. So.... #Bringbackthenationaldex #CanthavePokemonwithoutPokemon

Same here. I've always played Pokemon games with a brand new crew of pokemon everytime I start playing a new game. Probably because I never found out about services like Pokemon Bank, till a few years ago, by which point, I had gotten used to playing every game the same way, without pokemon from a previous game( via transfer anyway. Always liked being able to catch old pokemon in a region, which Sword & Shield appears to have). Even then, I never tried to catch everything in the National Dex. Because, let's be honest here, there way too many pokemon to catch to make completing it fun for people like me, who just play the games because they are fun to play.

Legit, I understand some of the criticisms people have, but it’s getting to the point where people are trying to pick a fight more than solve a problem. I saw an unironic meme that read “Wanting a game developer to not half ass a game and give us 100% of the content that would please the gaming community and Pokémon fans doesn’t make us cry babies. Also defending them doesn’t make you a hero but enabling the companies to half ass their content.” Not only do these people genuinely believe that not receiving everything they want out of a product means it was half-assed, they also believe that expecting such a thing is reasonable and not whiny, AND that the people who accept that no product will ever be perfect are enabling bad business. The Internet was a mistake.

True story: I couldn't beat Ultra Necrozma, but then I saw a video on KZbin where a guy beat Ultra Necrozma with his team, which had a Decidueye on it. I had a Primarina. So, like the stupid kid that I was, I reset the game to pick Rowlet. However, I got stuck on the fire trial. The grass trial wasn't an issue when I had chosen Popplio because I had type coverage in a Hawlucha I got from an in-game trade, but when I chose Rowlet, I didn't have said type coverage, so I couldn't beat the Marowaks. Then I lost the game and it was gone for years. Recently, however, I found it. I reset it (again). I've beaten the game now, and I got past Ultra Necrozma. How, you may be wondering? Well, this time, I had a Mimikyu with Mimikium Z, a Primarina with a Focus Band, and a Zoroark with a Quick Claw. I had three other pokemon in my party, but they're not important. I sent out Mimikyu first, and Ultra Necrozma used Smart Strike. However, thanks to Disguise, it didn't do anything, and I used Let's Snuggle Forever, Mimikyu's Z-Move. It did about half of it's health, and the next turn, Mimikyu went down to another Smart Strike. Next up: Primarina. Again, Ultra Necrozma uses Smart Strike, but Primarina lives with 3 HP like a mad lad! Primarina used Moonblast and did a good chunk of damage, leaving Ultra Necrozma in the red. Another Smart Strike later, however, and Primarina went down. So, it turns out the Focus Band wasn't even necessary. Finally, I sent out Zoroark, disguised as a Vikavolt. And by PURE CHANCE AND LUCK the Quick Claw kicked in and Zoroark's Dark Type attack (can't remember which attack) beat Ultra Necrozma.

My level 57 Decidueye survived at 1 hp against it and then didn’t ohko it but, it survived at one HP AGAIN from affection at one HP and then killed Neccrozma. It was crazy. Plus, I gave my rainbow beans to Ampharos and not him. I screamed SO loudly and kept telling my mom about. She didn’t care but that’s to be expected from an old person.

I didn't know necrozma was coming and the battle ended in 5 seconds as 4 out 6 pokemon were week to him and I had to get a zoroark just to beat the stupid thing
