McGregor, without an ounce of visible nervous energy, looking across the cage at a seemingly unbeatable Jose Aldo and saying "Let's go boy", and then proceeds to knock him out in the exact way he predicted he would, was just unreal. Dude was on another level. And those Mystic Mac moments- calling his shots and it happening, was also wild. The Aldo, Poirier 1, and Alvarez fights had McGregor looking like he was heading to GOAT status. Oh well. Either way, that rise was legendary. And easily the most entertaining fighter to watch.

And Joe's comment hit the nail on the head... he looks so relaxed especially compared to aldo. It kind of makes me sad because conor doesn't have this same energy before his fights anymore. Yup that was him at his best mixing in kicks (especially his nasty spinning back kicks to the gut). IMO him going and boxing Floyd was the worst thing for him because after he trained for that fight he became WAY to reliant on traditional boxing and the power of his left hand. he was completely demoralized before that bout. Aldo was not used to trashtalking that's why everyone hated mcgregor back then. He doesn't want to talk the way mcgregor did during the promo and it completely got in his head up until today to a point where he needed to seek help mentally. It was a tough one for us fans but commoners will surely love the hype mcgregor was giving dueing that time

He should have fought prime connor and proven his worth. The fact is khabib only second class fighters most of his life and the elite fighters were not in their primes when he fought them. Khabibs whole style resembles the slow but cold killer. Aldo was running through guys. It's easy to see from their styles alone how the mental warfare could destroy somebody like Aldo, but make a fighter like khabib even stronger

And damn, Connor was in his absolute prime during that fight. His strikes were lightning fast. Especially the one that put Aldo to sleep. Could barely even see it.
