KUDOS girl. Having owned grooming shops ,boarding kennels and let me just say you young lady are AMAZING and you are naturally connected to the animals or you would have failed like the others. Its all about the tricks we learn of over time and sometimes we have to dip deeper into that bag of tricks to find what will work with each individual pet. Loved the way you showed him love as well as assertiveness. Keep up the good work. You're a blessing to the pets & their parents. Respect.

I have a 15 year old Yorkie who is this way about her front legs because she has Epilepsy. Every 3 months the vet shaves her front leg and draws blood. I have found as a groomer that often times this behavior comes from a bad Vet experience more than grooming.

There’s a difference between can’t finish a dog and UNABLE to finish a dog because they aren’t DESENSITIZED. Most dogs that are like this get sedated at the vet for the rest of their lives . Desensitize your dog to grooming at a very early age ! 🤦🏽♀️ sometimes taking them to different groomers messes up the bond a groomer and dog have .

Wonder how old the pup was when they took him for his first groom 🤦🏽♀️ So much bad behavior can be avoided if owners bring they’re pups in for grooming AS SOON as they’re done with their puppy shots… 5-6 months is already too late 🙄🙄🙄

I was EXHAUSTED watching that. Whew! That young dog needs to learn that there's no pain involved with the groom. You could see that he began to not react to his feet because he wasn't feeling pain. He was looking to PULL his feet away but he wasn't doing that aggressive lunging and barking. This is a good learning experience for people with hard dogs that are expecting pain in the groom. Great idea to back off and take the win! Great groom Dede!

I have a Goldendoodle as well. Not a biter! I started doing my own grooming when the plandemic started and my groomer closed for 6 months. I purchased a hydraulic table, and clippers. I watched some of you and other’s videos and grooming a Goldendoodle. I have gone thru 3 clippers so far. Looking to invest in one of your clippers. The thing I don’t know is I don’t want to scalp him every time. He has matts but, I use scissors to cut thru the matt and brush out the rest. My question, How do ( with your clippers) cut his hair to be 1/2 to 3/4 inch long? Also, one thing he does is puts his chin on my arm to stop me. Please advise. Thanks
@myfavoritegroomer3 жыл бұрын
The clipper doesn’t scalp. The blade does. Add different blades to get a different cut. Add guards to a blade to get longer cut. Or hand scissor a hair cut leaving hair longer. . Myfavoritegroomer.com

Hi Dede! Great video! Aw, look at his eye expressions, so cute! He looks like our Biko, but our Biko is more curlier. I think the nice owners need to send Harley to an obedience trainer and work with him more since he has so much energy. Through time he will mellow out with more training.
