There is one problem to your rant, and its that Kakunsa attacked Android 17 in the tournament. Which, seeing as he was the MVP, was a pretty important action. So going off of that, its most likely that they're adding characters that are either featured the most during an arc, or they're adding characters that directly had an interaction with an important character (not going to say lead character here as some of us don't think that Gohan or Krillin was a prominent character during the tournament arc) No disrespect, just wanting to clear some unease about the roster.

You can certainly cut that second Vegito for Dragon Ball Super There will be only one Vegito with 2 transformations in the final game. It makes no sense to have a DBS Vegito if there isn't even a moveset for his base form. At best DBS Vegito will be only Vegito Blue, so either way that's 1 free character slot you can fit Kakunsa in.

That the thing. Is obvious they gonna cram the base roster with DBZ and DBS the most. As for Movies, GT, Daima, and probably OGDB or DBH characters are gonna end up as DLC. Broly being in the base roster is not a surprised coz it Broly! Majority of DB game always put Broly in the base roster (except Xenoverse and FighterZ since this is the start of DB game try to manipulate microtransactions). Before this it was DBZ Broly, but now since DBS Broly is the main one, they use this version for base roster. I still believe DBZ Broly gonna be in Sparking Zero as well, maybe as DLC this time

@@Globku to be fair, DB games always release the anime characters like a year after they show up, Xenoverse and dbfz did that right, GT is more likely in base game then Daima characters, and as for Daima goku, sparking Zero might just do the same as DBFZ and have GT goku be the kid goku version at launch, there is also the chance daima will be delayed to after Sparking Zero release cause the staff needs to address the issue on how Daima has to be done cause of recent events. GT however is all ready to be done so thats a safe option, atleast having SS4 Gogeta as the only GT character at launch as a Pre order bonus is a perfect option as he is the mascot for the tenkaichi series and would sell more than anyone, especially if he gets an Instant win ULT like in dbfz, then people will main him, but the rest of GT would be great DLC

Kakunsa was really not that crazy unexpected, she is in all the recent mobile games and the Tournament of Power seems to be a important part for Sparking Zero, since Jiren and Bergamo appeared in the first trailer. I was really expecting both Ribrianne and Bergamo's trios to be included in this game.

I fully believe we will get at least one representative of each universe if they adapt the tournament of power arc, of course they would be mainly picking characters that had a significant moment or episode in the anime. Although kankusa pretty much confirms what I and others had speculated, GT will not be in the base roster and Super Hero won't be either unless they really are going above 164 characters, it would make sense for character packs to not really have a specific theme instead be a bundle of various characters, that way it makes so people will buy lesser known or not as liked characters for the sack of also getting the one they want. I guarantee you people wouldn't care to buy a 5 character pack as long as 2 of them are popular like SSJ4 Gogeta and Android 21. Just look at FighterZ

No disrespect but if we want this game to have a long live span like XenoVerse and Kakarott have, we will need DLC. Also take into account development time and marketing, it's just not feasible to have more than 164 UNIQUE characters without at least 8-10 years of development, it's just not good for business specially if we consider the development cost of the game, why add 200 unique characters on launch and then have to spend two years making another batch, in order for the game to keep it's audience engaged it needs a semi consistent stream of content for people, game development has become harder as games become more costly to make and if you aren't satisfied with over 160 characters on the base roster, then you will never be satisfied unless they add every single character to ever appear during a fight in dragon ball. Don't keep your expectations unreasonably high, keep in mind you wouldn't be playing as most of these characters anyway, there are people who only want one character and play them every time because of how broken they are

My thoughts Firstly, I am genuinely happy to see Kakunsa, she was one of a few Super characters I really wanted, I prefer the ribrianne trio over the trio de dangers But two things 1 I keep thinking this, GT and probably movies (see point 2) are getting cut. 2 movies are getting cut, seeing S Broly just be called Broly (to me) screams no Z Broly I also did some counting a while back and (it's been a bit so I don't remember exactly) but between Ball, Movies, and GT there were 80ish slots (including transformations) and with that and the "confirmed" roster size I feel it's (unfortunately) safe to say those 80 characters are cut for Super characters and maybe Daima I know no one's gonna care about that cuz not canon, but to me that's depressing

I’m thinking GT, Daima and movies for DLC. We’ll go trough the story, all the way from the original DB series up to super hero (which is the canon story). Although GT and movie characters are fan favorites, they are non canon, and I think that’s the reason why they’ll get cut. Also, a DLC pack with GT characters and movies would sell even better than a super hero pack or a original DB pack or a Daima pack. I’m thinking we’ll get Daima as DLC as well, but the series isn’t out yet, so reserving character slots for something that hasn’t been proved popular or liked might affect the sales of this game.

I do believe that they're not including DBS Super Hero at launch, I expect it to be DLC. But also, you're a bit off base with the roster predictions. The Freeza you thought was from Z, on the website, is labeled Super. So that Freeza is Super Freeza.

Probably super hero wont be base game, cuz Beast Gohan is still appearing in newer manga chapters, so they're probably waiting for a better way to grab moveset with Ultra ego and Granola stuff and just snap it as "Manga DLC"

Same. I REALLY hope that the oozaru forms of Nappa, Raditz and Turles will come back, as they are Tenkaichi originals. Same goes for King Vegeta and Fasha should they return. Then I also hope to see Hirudegarn and Janemba back too.

They're probably not doing ALL the forms of Goku and Vegeta as separate characters, maybe they'll be tied into other versions. That'll free up so much space on the roster too.

oh its max Roshi... i don't mind it but i was hoping for base but i'm still getting the game cause of Roshi in general. hoping for a speed base Roshi to be confirmed.
