"No One Likes A Mad Woman" Gender, Disability, and Narrative in Life is Strange: Before the Storm

In my very first official video essay, I discuss how Chloe's experiences of being a Disabled woman, particularly a neurodivergent or mad woman, shape the narrative of this game as well as the narratives people tell and believe about her and how she challenges those narratives through the power of speaking up. I also discuss how she relates to Sera and how their shared mad woman statuses are significant regarding how Chloe can either re-enforce or challenge the toxic ableist narrative surrounding Sera.
